Toronto ladies, has this ever happened to you?

Have you ever been approached by a strange boy from Quebec who says "this may seem a little random, but you seemed cool, so I thought I would talk to you." And then he proceeds to talk to you about inane things until you escape? But he never asks our name or number or anything? WHAT DOES HE WANT???? HAT IS HE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH???? This is the second time in six months this boy has come up to me, I can't be the only one.
