“Wake up, I want my presents.”

Derek wrapped an arm around Natalia, pulling her down into the bed. A grin was on his face when she let out a loud yelp, giggling as she tried to struggle against him. “Five more minutes” He told her, chuckling as she continued to fight him, “The presents aren’t going to up and disappear on us, Nat.” Although... Stranger things have happen around this town. His thoughts distracted him enough to not brace for the elbow in his chest, making him loosen his grip with a grunt. Immediately the girl wiggled out of his grasp and continue to try to get him out of bed. 

“Okay... Okay, okay” Derek laughed, his eyes opening and slowly pulling himself into a sitting position, “Let’s go downstairs.” Getting up, he slowly followed behind Natalia before suddenly scooping her up and throwing her over his shoulder. Grinning, he ignored her yells and protests, “First we need coffee and breakfast, Nat. Wouldn’t want to open all the presents I got you on an empty stomach now do we?” Laughing, he entered the kitchen, knowing the minute he put her down they will be heading back to the living where the tree is anyways. 

Derek couldn’t really deny Natalia, even if his stomach demanded food and coffee.

“I don’t understand how me dressing up as a present benefits anyone…”

"It’s a charity. Kind of like... Win a date with this awesome person” Elizabeth explained as she placed a bow on top of Natalia’s head. She wasn’t the biggest fan of making the girl a present for others to just observe and then decide they will “unwrap” her but she guessed it was suppose to be kind of fun and in the spirit of the holidays. 

“And you will definitely be picked” She grinned, “You are the best present after all. So smile and work your charm! I think you will get a lot of money for the charity this year. Let me take a picture of this.” Pulling out her camera, she turned it on herself and Natalia, taking a selfie with the girl that was wrapped in Disney princess wrapping paper with glitter all over her and a bow tie on her head.

Adjusting his ear piece, Ray looked around for his partner in this particular mission, his face staying completely blank. Normally he would protest, preferring to be paired off with his sister Mina over anyone else. Especially a werewolf with a limp. But what’s done is done. Besides... He won’t admit it but Natalia’s senses have helped them quite a bit in this mission. 

It has lead them to this hotel room after all, where the target was staying before the gala. “We will have to reach him before he leaves the hotel” He told her, his voice staying indifferent as he walked calmly through the lobby. This was important, as the assassination will change the world. As if he belonged there. “I am locating him right now” Natalia’s voice came into his ear. 

Ray paused just briefly wondering if Natalia meant she was using a computer to locate their target or using her scents. Instinct told him that it was the latter and he mentally scolded her, knowing that he couldn’t speak too much to himself otherwise he will draw attention to himself. “Where are you?” He murmured, his lips barely moving but he made sure the werewolf heard him. 

“... Second Floor.”

It only took him seconds to reach where she was, seeing that she was minutes away from sneaking into the target’s room. Ray scowled at her but didn’t say another word, knowing they were so close to their objective. Nodding at one another, they proceeded to enter the room silently, ready for the ripple effect that their actions will cause. 

Ray decided that he could have had a worse partner than Natalia.

Protect

Derek saw that Natalia was being surrounded by the Lykos pack and his eyes felt like they were seeing red, though he knew they had simply turned the color to reveal he was only a beta. Still, he roared and charged after the wolves, fighting them off as he destroyed them one by one. All the while staying in front of the other wolf, making sure nothing comes to harm her. He wanted to protect her after all, especially since he was the one that told her she will be welcome into their pack. He needed to make sure Natalia was alright. 

After the battle, he was exhausted but knew he had to take Natalia home. Gently picking her up, he started to walk, trying to ignore the wounds he has gained. They will heal eventually. “You’ll be safe now” He said quietly, “I will make sure of it. You have my word.”

Vampire

Someone offers you a chance at immortality. Do you take it, and why or why not?

She can taste the power on her tongue, feel the strength flowing through her. Her human hands had been able to do so much damage but now she could literally rip someone’s heart from their chest and crush it with one squeeze. Rose Thorne: Human Hunter has always had a nice ring to it but she can’t deny the allure of having Rose: Feared vampire who kills that which goes bump in the night as a new moniker. 

OOC: Just kidding! 

Seriously I can’t imagine Rose as a vampire and I don’t think that’s something she really wants wither. Maybe as a power boost but I think she knows her limits as a human and respects that. Besides she’s not a very happy person in general and who wants to live a miserable life forever?
