— { ✗ } Everyone says, running away is no solution, but sometimes it's the only way to keep a cool head. At least in Souta's opinion. It's been a while since he did this, running away in the middle of night. He can't help it. Now that he thinks about it, the nightmares were getting less too lately. Perhaps because of the fact that he isn't living on his own anymore and can finally move on? However, he wasn't lucky tonight in escaping the nightmares and staying at home wouldn't calm him down, therefore he decided to go for a walk. He does not fear what may hide in the shadows of the streets and the early winter night did no harm to him as well while his way directly goes to the familiar basketball field. The redhead would make sure to keep an eye on the time so he'll be home before his fiance would notice anything but...
...he already drifted off into thoughts once he arrived at said field and eventually lost track of the time.
It's scary how just the ticking of the clock could be heard in the room and occasionally, you can also hear a sigh. It was silent, barely noticeable at first but eventually, it became more and more annoyed, louder, as if someone clearly wanted attention without directly asking for it. At last, the sound of paper rustling stopped and slowly, really slowly, the redhead would turn around in his chair, eyebrow twitching with slight annoyance and expression clearly not a amused one.
"...What is it now?"
"You promised."
Souta felt bad, really. But he's so scared of dropping out of school. His brother would be disappointed for sure if this happens. Souta mumbled an apologize before turning back to his desk in a attempt to quickly get through with it so he can finally spend a peaceful evening with his beloved one. At first it really was silent for a while, the clock ticking kinda scary now and not even any more sighing from the other male. Souta would thank him for being so patient once he's done here for sure. However, that was until he felt something hitting the back of his head and with a huff, the red-eyed male quickly leaned forwards to protect the papers on his desk from whatever just hit him. As he turned his gaze to the side, he noticed the pillow that landed on his desk as well, a brow would raise in confusion. Wait, did Kyo just...? And here have an angry redhead moving around in his chair again, just to see his innocent smiling fiance sitting on their bed, a pillow obviously missing now.
"...How old are you again?"
"Twenty-two."
"Are you fucking kidding me?!"
And here the pillow was thrown right back at his lover who blocked the thing without much effort, expression a blank one. "You asked for my age." Spoken in a dead serious tone and Souta already wanted to throw the next pillow but too bad, he's sitting at his desk while Kyo is the one sitting by the pillows. "I thought we had a deal!" And now it's Souta's turn to pout while the other male would just shake his head. "If you go on like this, you're going to end up in the hospital sooner or later. Is that what you want, Souta?"
Upon hearing Kyo's words, the redhead couldn't even find the strength to protest. It's true that Souta is working and studying hard and it's true that it might be getting too much for him but...what else is he supposed to do? The red-eyed male lowered his gaze, not sure how to respond to something like this. After all, Kyo was just worried about the younger one's health.
A huff and scarlet hues widened in surprise once another pillow was aimed at him, this time towards his chest and the pillow landed in his lap. A brief look of confusion was given towards his fiance who seemed to be waiting for Souta to finally react. And the redhead indeed reacted, throwing the pillow right back and within a few moments, their bedroom turned into a battlefield. First the pillows and once they were out of reach, the paper planes followed. Two adults did just turn back into little kids.
The pillow - and paper plane - fight soon came to a slow end and with both males curled up on the bed, exhausted but satisfied. The room was a mess but hell, it was worth it. Souta nuzzled his face against the other's chest, letting out a content sigh, the papers on his desk long forgotten already while Kyo would just slowly and gently brush his fingers through the mess of red hair that belongs to his fiance, a proud like grin on his lips while he placed a loving kiss to the redhead's forehead.
"See? You had your fun, right?"
"Uhh..."
"...Souta?"
"...I think you broke one of my fingers with that pillow."
❦|| Normally Kyo left Souta to the cooking, however, once in a blue moon when the ravenette awoke before his boyfriend, he would make breakfast, or whatever meal they were wanting. Today, since it was getting close to winter, had begun making his soup, a treat he always made for his family when he still lived in America, which he had yet to be able to make for Souta. When he felt a bit of weight press against him, and felt the nuzzle he smiled and stopped cutting vegetables. “Good-morning.” he murmured, turning around and kissing the top of the redheads head though soon he froze. What was Souta saying? Was he being serious? Or sleep talking? How the hell was Kyo supposed to respond. “…Really?” he asked, wrapping his arms around the shorters waist, a curious look crossing his face.
— { ✗ } He's still tired indeed and at this point, barely awake. University and his part-time job really gets to him but vacation would be soon and then he would hopefully get a break from everything. The kiss to the top of his head was barely noticed but eventually, his mind started to work, sudden realization hit him and he felt a ice cold shiver running down his spine, red orbs fluttered open and he could feel the heat rising up to his face. Oh god...did he really just...?! It was just something that was on his mind quite often lately - too often - but he didn't mean to just blurt it out like that. What now? "Y-yes...I mean no! I mean..." Stay cool, Souta. You can get out of this. Besides, aren't proposals meant to be more romantic? The redhead raised his hands to press them against the other's chest, gaze lowered to the ground, thinking about an excuse. "I wasn't even...really awake. Just forget I said anything!" He didn't want Kyo to break up with Souta for maybe being too pushy or clingy now. He can't even imagine that his boyfriend would even want this sort of thing.
