“So,” Kong started, opening his menu and going over the wide variety of options. “See you got a bed warmer.”

Satoru tensed. Toji growled, then caught himself. “Nope. New roommate,” Toji explained, ruffling Satoru’s hair. “Remember the rabbit I found?”

Kong glanced at Satoru, then recognition filled his features. “Rabbit popsicle?” 

“That’s me,” Satoru murmured, picking up his own menu. It was thinner than Toji and Shiu’s, with a green cover rather than the deep, royal red the other two had. Herbivore selection. 

Kong reached a hand over the table. Satoru stared at it for a moment, then quickly shook it once he realized why this human man was reaching toward him. Kong looked impressed for barely a second before sitting back. “Strong grip. Good.” He glanced at Toji. Then, he smirked. “Gonna introduce us, mutt?”

Mutt. Satoru opened his mouth to defend Toji, to tell this man that he could not call Toji that— but Toji snorted. He shook his head and moved his hand to rest on Satoru’s thigh. “This is Satoru.”

“Satoru…?”

A prompt.

“Just Satoru.” Toji shrugged. He looked back at Satoru. “Satoru, this is Kong Shiu. My handler.” 

Handler???

Chapter Name: Growing Pains

Summary: Satoru has officially moved in with Toji! Toji is wondering if he made a mistake by letting such a picky rabbit live with him. He also may or may not be Feeling Things™️ about said rabbit.

Currently thinking about my jjk oc that was adopted by Gojo when she was 8 and he was 18. He was 17 and freshly grieving the loss of his best friend when he found this little girl, alone and sobbing because "monsters" killed her family, and she's confused and scared. Usually, he wouldn't care, but something about this kid feels different. The curses already got away, anyway, so he just. Picked her up and took her with him, and adopted her a year later because he just feels this connection with her and he's like "I have to find a way to keep her safe and with me forever..." Then, like another year later shortly after he takes Megumi in, and her technique finally manifests, and it manifests by mightmare turned "oh no the entire room is destroyed by her string technique",,,, the higher ups wanting to execute this LITTLE GIRL (HIS little girl) because her technique is, what, a LITTLE like this ancient cursed god that isn't even relevant anymore? He threatens the hell out of them and just holds her and explains cursed technique to her,,,, he homeschools her until its time for Jujutsu High because he doesn't want anyone else seeing her, doesn't want to expose her to the world,,,, he encourages her to be like a little mini-him, especially as she hits special grade status at 15... and even then, he can't stand to let other people see her the way he does because it makes his chest BURN with rage........ like, how dare they look at HIS girl like that? She's not THEIRS to look at. He probably almost pulled her out during her second year... but kept her in because he knew she would get so mad at him if he DID pull her out.

Then, she turns 17 and he starts NOTICING things. Her chest and hips have widened out, she's gotten taller (she's 178 cm now, when did she get so big?), she's got her own big personality now... and she's gotten so pretty. He can see it in how some boys look at her when they go get lunch together or just go for a nice day out together... and he doesn't know why it pisses him off so fucking bad.

Then, the higher ups send her off to Romania. And he can only call her and see her if he goes to her when he has a rare free moment, instead of being greeted by her every day at Jujutsu High and seeing her randomly back in his apartment. He hates it. He hates it. He's so pissed that when he finds out she finally DID come back from Romania, not only was he sealed, apparently SUKUNA decided to attach himself to her and decided that she's his wife from the heian era or whatever bullshit Sukuna was spouting...... because she's not Sukuna's, she's Satoru's.

Idk, just thinking about Satoru and Mayumi's relationship as she grows up 😓😓 I need to draw them together more

Excerpt from the current chapter of I Bite, Chapter Nine: Golden Burrow below the cut !!!!!

The most important part of their arrangement was that Gojo Satoru and Fushiguro Toji were not mates. They were roommates who helped each other battle touch starvation. Roommates who cuddled when one of them had a bad day. Roommates who smelled exactly like each other. Roommates who made out—a lot.

That wasn’t the important part, though. Satoru was gaining weight. He couldn’t remember the last time he had stepped on the scale and been more than 57 kilograms. One day, a few weeks into Toji’s “DIY rehab,” he was delighted to note that he weighed 70 kilos. Toji had started cooking warm, vegetarian meals for Satoru’s stomach to handle through withdrawals. On days that Satoru was beset with migraines and the stomach of a very picky five-year-old, Toji was by his side, practically hand-feeding him apples that he cut up himself and raw kale that Satoru accepted like it was the Holy Grail.

Another part of Toji’s DIY rehab program was that Satoru was not allowed to leave the apartment alone; this meant they would be together constantly, so Toji could make sure Satoru was actually staying clean. Satoru loved this. He hated being alone in the first place, so he didn’t mind the wolf’s constant shadow over his back as he took walks around the city. Adachi was so nice during the daytime, Satoru learned on his daily walks with Toji. Shinjuku was fun, the money he earned from selling himself was steady, and he frequently met other kids and hybrids in similar situations. Comparatively, Adachi was so quiet— although Satoru supposed anywhere would be quieter than the streets of the Kabukicho district.

Satoru’s favorite part of their walks was that Toji always corralled him whenever they walked anywhere. He walked on the outside of the sidewalk, a guiding and grounding hand on Satoru’s lower back. Others would say it was stifling; Satoru would say that it was safe.

The air smelled much better than the air in Shinjuku. In Shinjuku, it smelled like exhaust, like chemicals, like cheap alcohol and perfume, like self-hatred disguised as beauty. In Adachi, it smelled like… water, mostly. It reminded him of Toji’s scent— the soft rain that emanated from the wolf.

However, Satoru did have one small thing that he didn’t particularly like about living with Toji. It was the only thing he didn’t like about it all.

The “playing,” which translated to “Toji tackled Satoru to the ground and scared the shit out of him, then awkwardly apologized after Satoru froze and/or accidentally beat the shit out of him.”
