i thought it would be really cool to have a secret santa event for the originals fandom, so here i am to present you all with this idea.
how to enter:
you must reblog this post. likes will not count if you want to be added onto the list. you will have until november 23rd to reblog this post so you can join in on the fun. the reason why i have selected a week before december even begins and i’m posting this now is because i need enough time to match people up before december begins so you can enjoy your secret santa messages all through december.
if you don’t receive a message from your secret santa by december 3rd, send me a message and i will match you up with someone else.
OPTIONAL: i made this quick little survey that would help me match you all better with someone who has similar interests to you with the show but if you want a random pick or don’t feel like doing it, i will still be adding you to my list as long as you reblog this and trying to pair you with someone based on what i find on your blog.
don’t forget you’re going to need to make sure your ask is turned on with the option for anonymous messages turned on as well.
how this will work:
you will be assigned someone to send messages. the person who you are sending messages to will not be the same person who is sending you messages. once you receive who you will be a secret santa to, feel free to send them messages right up until the 25th!
please try and send a message every day (or at least every few days) even if it’s just a simple “hey! how’s your day going? i hope you’re doing well.” you are allowed to send them christmas themed asks or general or whatever really you’d like to, just NOTHING mean-spirited. you could make them a graphic, a fanfic, a playlist or whatever you’d like to make or just simply getting to know them if you are unable to make or would rather not do any of those things for your secret santa. make sure when submitting you are anonymous: you can do this by one of two ways: logging out of tumblr to do the asks or clicking the anonymous button whenever you are in their ask box.
on christmas day or any time after, you can reveal yourself to your secret santa. the goal of this little idea is that people in the originals fandom will gain a new friend during this magical season, so i’m hope that you and your secret santa will keep up with each other throughout the year but this isn’t a requirement of course.
