Total diving at Beneath the Sea

Just steps away from The Big Apple, One can find the annual exposition of Dive gear from many, many makes, Dive Travel information, Diving Clubs, Charters and many more topics all about Scuba Diving!

Beneath the sea is presented for the slumbering winter Divers concentrated in the North East Americas as a way to kick off the new season along with the hard core divers who go out and brave the cold and the ice in order to dive all year around. So Beneath the Sea is a great way to roll out the red carpet at the start of every year!

We find that Beneath the Sea is an interesting event which links Divers directly to the Manufacturers and vice versa, and help in the discovery of all the yearly innovations and new designs. This also enables us to learn about and validate equipment updates which were not available At the DEMA Event earlier in the year. The Shearwater Perdix for example was released post Dema!

We were all pleasantly surprised to see the brilliant lighting effects along with a new Option for Cave Diving also available on the new petrel. Aqualung also kicked in with their vast array of recreational and commercial Diving Gear.

Among others one of the most fantastic things are the different on site presentations being conducted by impassioned Divers, Explorers and Diving Celebrities, who voluntarily give speeches and tell tales of their exploits and research and achievements in the great undersea world.

Table de plongée vs ordinateur de plongée. Ce débat éternel et superflu une dissociation avec une réalité qui perdure depuis longtemps.

On dirait que la plongée refuse d’évoluer depuis toujours malgré des évidences indéniables. C’est plus facile, plus sécuritaire, et plus efficace.

Les choses ont évolué et aujourd’hui l’ensemble de la communauté de la plongée utilise des ordinateurs de plongée. Combien de fois voit-on des plongeurs avec une table de plongée dans un bateau de plongée... Pratiquement jamais.

Donc pourquoi dans nos formations sommes nous incohérent avec cette réalité encore beaucoup d’emphase est mise sur l’utilisation des tables de plongée ou encore pire le eRDPml.... Qui certes est plus facile à utiliser dans une salle de classe, mais tellement inutile sous l’eau.

Il est grand temps que les choses évoluent dans l’intérêt de la plongée récréative. Les concepts théoriques derrière les algorithmes de plongée sont beaucoup plus importants à comprendre que comment utiliser une table de plastique ou un eRDPml.

Total Diving Montréal va encore faire preuve de leadership par une décision que certains pourraient dire d’audacieuse.... Évolué ;)

Dès cette saison toutes les certifications chez Total Diving Montréal seront faites avec des consoles ordinateurs d’Aqualung qui inclus un i300. Tous nos étudiants auront le privilège de plongée avec un ordinateur et seront mieux outillés pour être des plongeurs compétents et sécuritaires. Bienvenue en 2016 ;) une année incroyable pour plonger avec l’équipe Total Diving Montréal.
