1. A fic you are proud of?

Linger, a short Fenhawke piece that’s so soft. The setting could be anywhere. I like it a lot.

2. A fic you are excited about?

Evermore! It’s a Fenhawke AU inspired by beauty and the beast (the live-action remake by Disney) and I’m halfway through the 2nd draft. I’m taking a break for NaNo but hope to finish the 2nd draft during December. My ultimate goal for this fic is to finish the final draft before even thinking of sharing it here or on AO3.

3. A fic that was challenging to write?

My Fenhawke Flatmate AU, which I won’t link because no one deserves that disaster, because I burnt myself out with writing and ended up hating the fic because I had to just wrap it up and it ended not being close to what I had planned.

4. A fic that was something you hadn’t tried before?

I came out here to join the fight against Corypheus and I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now because it was a funny prompt and I always worry about style and think I can’t write funny but that one is hilarious. It’s pompted by the owl whisperer video, here on youtube.

5. If you had to choose one fic above all to share, what would it be?

Hmm... I think Evermore. I hadn’t written in a long time until I started working on tha- No! Hold on! This prompt from lovely @tessa1972 has a place in my heart 💕

“Excuse me, dancers, diners, and guests,” She said, nervously holding the microphone. Crowds were not her thing. They reminded her of the mass of Nihilego, swirling as they encircled their prey, ready to - No, She told herself. Not here. Not now. 

“Ahem, we have reports that a Guzzlord by the name of ‘Zero’ has caused the chocolate fountain to cease functioning. Everyone, remain calm, we are going to restore functionality to the fountain as soon as we can... However... The Guzzlord appears to have vanished, and I would advise everyone to be on the lookout. I do not believe that this creature has any intentions of hurting anyone - They are just rather mischievous. Please, if you see the creature, report their whereabouts.”

4. things you said over the phone

  At first she had swiped at the air, trying to knock the bee or wasp or whatever away from her, but as she was pulled out of sleep by that damn buzzing, she realised it was her phone on the little table near her bed. Hotel rooms liked their little tables, didn’t they?   She had to get up to answer it, and that put her in a bad mood. Seeing the time put her in a worse one. 9am? Really? After the night she’d had? Who the hell was this assclown?   The display on her phone said “Legend”. What?  Then it started coming back to her in short bursts - she didn’t recognise the name because she had given her phone to him to put his number into because she couldn’t see the keypad clearly and she wasn’t about to put her drink down to concentrate more closely on it. Legend, though? She would have laughed, if she thought it wouldn’t hurt her head. One hand over her eyes to keep the light from the screen out, she hit the accept button and sighed.  “Hey listen, before you say anything, I’m not the marrying type, alright? ... Ha! What else could you possibly want? ... Yeah, I did say I made guns, why? ... I don’t know about bombs, what are we talking here, flash bangs or something? ... With a poison effect add on? I hadn’t... really thought about it before, but I’m sure it’s possible. Colour me intrigued. Go on.”  Her amused frustration left her and she sat at that ridiculous little table with one leg over the other and absently picked at a fruit bowl with her free hand. Impending hangover or not, she was always ready to talk explosives; and this was a man she could do business with.   “And what do I get for this? ... Ha. Sugar, my time is more valuable than money. ... ... Good question. Hmm... I’m sure I’ll think of something. How about we meet to discuss this over something non-alcoholic in a dimly lit environment?”  Oh, I’m sure I’ll think of something.    She examined a grape held between her thumb and finger and smiled. Today was just an unexpected blessing, now, wasn’t it?
