Thank you so, so much for writing what you did about the current discourse. It’s funny, but these days every time I watch a scene I think, “oh no this is going to start discourse” and it’s such an unhealthy and frankly dumb way to view things? Should the writers take more care? Probably. But it’s really not as bad as fandom makes it out to be. So thank you for reminding me of that.

I knew the moment Alec didn’t immediately check in with Magnus after Lilith took Jace that there was gonna be some fucking 5-bong discourse going on this week and the first 24 hours haven’t disappointed (if only because you’d have to have some sort of positive expectation of the fandom to be disappointed.)
Since 3x05 every week has been a non-stop duck-and-cover drill. Good times, I guess.
