"Doesn't seem like your sort of place"
"You'd be surprised."
So I had a chance to try modded cyberpunk for the first time, and AMM. OTIS still terrifies me, but we'll get there someday. For now, I'm just happy I was able to take a picture and the game didn't crash.
Also had my first frustrating moment when I'd realized the positions I'd been trying to manually position actually snapped, and I'd been doing it the tedious way the entire time 😅 (and those all ended up getting blurred because of a camera issue) So! Learning experiences all around, and I think it's going to make me get a lot more patient, or at least resigned when things don't turn out right.

for @chevvy-yates--rambling about my art, thanks for sending this <3
I don't know when the environmental shots exactly started, but it was fairly soon after I got the game, even if the first shots shall remain buried (ugh I did NOT know how to light them properly). But it didn't take long for me to be captivated by the world of Cyberpunk and it's stunning visuals, more than I ever had with a game. There is something so human about them--these little touches that feel like a world people actually inhabit, food stands, graffiti and surprising moments of peacefulness. It would be so easy to make everything grimy and dirty, and post-apocalptic, and while I love this in its own right, there's something compelling about the combination of grungy city, nature and neon, all layered on top of the other.
The landscapes and environmental shots also have a very personal side to me, and echo ones that I take in my own life, and how I enjoy capturing the world around me. They've made me a more critical photographer and each feed the other, and viewing Night City from that of a person wandering--no real goal in mind, just enjoying the journey, and curious to see what each corner holds.
I have grown as a photographer, from my first grainy shots, and abysmal lighting to something I'm happier with. I still have so far to go, but its been really rewarding, and so much fun to be able to challenge myself.

Totentantz is the common title of a fresco by Niklaus Manuel Deutsch made in the Berner Dominikanerkloster, which the artist began in 1516/17. The sequence of images (80 meters and 24 scenes) was destroyed in 1660.
What remains is a copy (1649) by Albrecht Kauw (1621-1681). -Piktocon
