Luxury and the 'Experience' of Beautiful Design with TOTO

What is your definition of luxury?

To me, it’s being immersed in an atmosphere where superior quality is defined by the small and exceptional details. It's style and comfort. It’s total serenity. Luxury is what I deserve.

A luxurious bathroom is one that can promote both energy and relaxation. It’s a place where one can begin the day with renewed vitality. It’s a place where one can soak away the stresses of the day.

Being part of the Blog Tour Vegas team, I recently had the opportunity to explore the Lifestyle Suites by TOTO at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS2015). The fully outfitted suites featured all that was new and innovative and luxurious in bath design.  

The newly expanded NEOREST suite stands out in elegant modernity. This collection articulates TOTO’s philosophy of People-First Innovation. It’s intuitive, refined, and focuses on the ‘experience’ of a high-quality bathroom. I've always believed that exceptional design is developed and curated around the individual. 

The new Neorest Vessel Lavatory identifies with the elegance and smooth, sculptural architecture of the collection. The semi-recessed design is artistic, simple, and smart. Here’s what I love about the engineering of this piece: its basin depth! I have often been reluctant to use a vessel sink in a main bath simply because of the splash factor, but a deep basin adds a level of performance to the beauty. I also appreciate the details. This vessel’s gracious curves are available in two sizes: 29½” x 16 15/16” and 23 5/8” x 15 3/16” each with a porcelain drain cover and SanaGloss glazing for easy cleaning. This is pure luxury in form and function. 

This electronic Neorest II Lavatory Faucet with its adjustable on-counter temperature control was featured at the show. Now this is luxury and innovation. The integrated LED light indicates hot or cold (red or blue). 

The other TOTO debut to the Neorest luxury suite is the Freestanding Tub. This marble soaking tub is definitively my favourite piece. Its sculptural and clean-lined form can perform as art in the centre of a beautiful bathroom. In fact, I have just the place for it in my home. It’s reno time! Its generous size incorporates a deep bathing well, thickly framed marble rim rests and gently tapering sides, all of which are ergonomically ideal for a relaxing soak. The beauty continues in the details of a slip resistant surface, polished chrome armrests, and a pillow headrest. Just add candles!

Wrapping technology, innovation and beautiful design around the person and their needs is the premise behind TOTO's People-First Innovation. This is all about well-being, luxury and the 'experience' of beautiful design. I'm ready for it!
