Today (y/n)’s boyfriend had a day off from training and matches, so he decided to stay the night over at (y/n)’s place and would stay for the whole day. But there was one problem, (y/n) still lived with her parents so she had to convince them to let Sonny stay over and stay for the day.
They both woke up quite late in the morning as (y/n) opened her eyes and saw that the sun was already high up in the sky and that it was really bright outside. She looked to her side and saw that her boyfriend was still fast asleep.
Instead of waking him up, she just stared at him as he peacefully slept. That was until Sonny’s eyes opened suddenly scaring (y/n).
“Sonnyyyy! Why would you do that?!” (y/n) whines while catching her breath as Sonny just laughed beside her.
“What?? You’re the one who was acting creepy and staring at people when they sleep” Sonny said back still laughing
“I was just trying to be cute!” (y/n) protested as Sonny just chuckles before pecking her lips
“It was babe~” he says while looking into her eyes
“Good morning babe” (y/n) said softly smiled at her boyfriend
“ ‘morning~ did you sleep good babe?” he asks as he caresses her cheek
“Yeah I did, did you?” (y/n) nods and asks back
“I slept next to you so of course I did~” he says and smiles
“Cheeky” (y/n) says and blushes
“You’re cute when you blush” Sonny says as he presses his lips to hers
The couple has a slight make out session and things start getting heated before they are interrupted by one of (y/n)’s siblings knocking violently against her bedroom door.
“Oi! Lovebirds! Time to wake up, you guys already missed breakfast, it’s in the fridge if you want it!” (y/n)’s sibling says before walking away from the door and going to do their daily routine
(y/n) and Sonny turn to look at each other before laughing to themselves and sitting up.
“We should get up” (y/n) says as Sonny nods
The couple goes to get ready before heading downstairs to have breakfast. During the whole day, they had to sneak around to share kisses as otherwise, they would be teased to no ends by (y/n)’s parents and sibling. The most common being “get a room you two”, “get married already” or “when should we expect grand kids?”. They were commented so much that the couple themselves actually though about it. But they both knew that Sonny would propose sooner or later and that they would eventually have kids but that was for the future...or was it? ;)
Recently, you had been busy with school and life so you weren’t able to meet his teammates at the Tottenham Hotspur FC club. So when you had a free week, you decided to go to one of his matches. He was able to get you a ticket in the WAGS area and since it was your first time at one of his matches, Dele decided to make you go with his girlfriend, Ruby. And honestly, you couldn’t be happier as you considered Ruby as the sister you never had.
When the day of the match arrived, Ruby came to pick you up at your apartment building and from there, you guys drove to the Tottenham stadium. Once there, you showed security your tickets before being directed to the WAGS section. There we found Jan’s wife, Sophie alongside Eric’s partner, Maria and others.
Once they were seated, Ruby introduced you to the WAGS and you got to get to know them more before the players came out. When they did, they started doing various warm-up exercises and my attention shifted to the Tottenham player with the number 7 on his back. I turned to Ruby and asked who he was.
“His name is Heung Min Son, South Korean player, he’s quite good to be fair, scored a couple of times” She replied and caught the attention of the other girls
“What? She has eyes for Sonny?” Maria exclaimed
“I never said that” I retorted
“But if do have eyes for him, I can tell you that he is single, plus he’s totally your type AND he’s Dele’s best friend in the team, so I’m sure he wouldn’t mind setting you guys up” Ruby said
“Oh I know Dele and he will NOT set us up, he’s too protective” I said shaking my head
“Dele? Protective? Never heard those two words in one phrase before” Maria said
“Oh, trust me, he’s the worst” I said looking back at the players on the pitch
At some point, Dele saw both Ruby and I and waved at us and we waved back. This somehow caught the attention of the South Korean player who locked eyes with me for a couple of seconds before slightly smiling and I smiled back politely. I adverted my gaze so that no one noticed but apparently the girl already saw the small interaction between us.
“Gurll! He’s into you” One of the exclaimed simply
“When’s the wedding?” Another one joked
“Guys calm down! Nothing’s going on!” I said ignoring their remarks
Time skip to after the game
Tottenham played great tonight, ending the game with a 5-0 win! Even though Dele didn’t score, I was still proud of him and the team.
Ruby and I stood up from our seats and she leads me to the player’s locker room where she would be waiting for Dele to congratulate him.
“Even if Dele didn’t score, he played really well” I said to her and she nodded
“But, you’re Sonny scored” she teased and bumped my shoulder
“He’s not MY Sonny” I retorted
“Sure hun, I’ll make sure to change that” She said as we arrived in front of the locker room
We waited for a couple of minutes just talking before Dele and a familiar face came out of the locker room. Ruby and Del hugged before I was able to hug and congratulate him as Ruby and Sonny greeted each other with a hug.
“So, (y/n), this is Heung Min Son, but we call him Sonny around here” Dele introduced us
“Nice to meet you Sonny” I said as I shook his hand
“The pleasure is mine (y/n)” He said back smiling and I smiled back
Ruby and Dele walked away while talking leaving you and Sonny to talk alone.
“Nice goal you scored out there, congrats” I said smiling up at him
“Haha, thank you, it was nothing” He said while scratching the back of his neck
He was about to continue when Dele shouted for me to be quick as he was hungry for some McD’s.
“It was nice talking to you Sonny” I said with a smile
“It was nice for me too but could I get your phone number so that we can get to know each other more?” He asked
“Sure” I said while grabbing his phone and typing in my phone number before handing it back to him
“Text me” I quickly said before running off to join Dele and Ruby
We got in the car and drove to get some McD through the drive-thru. While passing through it, a ping sound came from my phone indicating a message. I checked it and smiled at the content of the message.

“Hey, it’s Sonny, how about we get to know each other over coffee tomorrow morning?”
I quickly typed back my approval before looking up only to realize Ruby smirking back at me through the rearview mirror. I gave a look that screamed “shut up” before turning to look out through the window. Gosh, I was screwed.
