TNTT (Vol. 1) ran from #1-40. It became Tales of the Teen Titans starting at #41. That series continued with new stories up until #58. Issue #59 and beyond are just reprints of TNTT (Vol. 2), so just ignore everything after #58. Then came TNTT (Vol. 2) #1-49. Then came The New Titans #50-130.

Here's a chronological reading list that will help you visualize the order better:

New Teen Titans first appeared in DC Comics Presents #26/2 (October 1980).

Also, note that Tales of the New Teen Titans is a 4 issue mini-series and that's why it's thrown in the middle of TNTT (Vol. 1). It's different from Tales of the Teen Titans.
