                    daithi keeps up with his bar top easily , not that many people in at the current moment . mid day was just beginning time and he’s making sure a couple of things are done from last night in between orders and conversation . he sees someone sitting down at the bar and he’s wiping his hands on the rag that hangs from his pocket as he moves closer . flashing a smile to her , his head tilts a bit .    ‘    this early in tha middle of the day -- and i’ve never seen you around  .    ‘     curious hazel eyes in the moment , but he leans against the counter just slightly .    ‘    passing through ? what can i get you , anyways ? look like you need something other than just a nice water .    ‘

"I hear you’re the man t’ talk to about gettin’ some runnin’ water around here.” He’s only been in the settlement a few days, but the water problem had apparently been going on near a weak- at least according to the locals. “Apparently the purifier broke a li’l bit back, and we haven’t been able to figure out a fix for it.”

                               STEVE IS VERY GLAD TO GET TO THE HOTEL AFTER A 7-HOUR FLIGHT. He takes a shower and then flops on the bed, exhausted – only to wake up around midnight, full of energy after his nap and with his body ready to tackle what his internal clock deems afternoon instead of the middle of the night. Jetlag fucking sucks. He tosses and turns sleeplessly for another two hours until he decides that it might be easier to just pull an all-nighter to adjust his biological clock to the local time, and anyway, nighttime means no harsh Greek sun, which his pale Irish skin will be grateful for, so he dresses, grabs his travel guide, and makes it out of the hotel.

                              Walking the little historic alleys of Athens in the middle of the night is kind of magical. The moon turns everything into spun silver, and the gentle summer breeze brings the smell of olives and summer. What isn't magical, however, is finding a guy climbing the antique statue of a goddess (probably Athena). It's a knee-jerk reaction, really: Steve throws his travel guide at the man, and because his aim is exceptional, he hits him right in the butt. He sounds indignant when he starts giving the guy a piece of his mind: "Are you fucking nuts, this is priceless historical art, get your ass down right the fuck now; Jesus, Maria, and Joseph."
