That soft rise and fall of Levi’s chest alerted him to the serpents impromptu sleep. It brought a gentle smile to Patrick’s lips, who settled more easily into the grass and curled closer to the other. He warmed him, letting his skin touch Levi tenderly, purposefully giving. Poor dear, he must have been tired. His own eyes fluttered closed, and he waited for the his love to wake.
When Levi spoke once more, the tales of sleep in his tone, Patrick kept his eyes closed. He listened, humming and nodding his head in between such logical responses. His creation was right, of course. There would be a time when none of it mattered. Nature would overtake the city, flooding it in a sea of beautiful green. As it it was meant to be.

The wildflowers murmured curiously, voices lilting and enchanting as they observed the pair. Ivy soothed them silently, fingers briefly brushing over their petals before burying into Levi’s soft, dark locks.
“Though, if you are up for it, I wouldn’t mind setting loose my latest darlings. The Tiger Lilies I have been enhancing are dying to stretch their roots.”
