I remember my intro in doing podcast that we are the Windows to the Future, indeed it seems that communicating with people from the west specially in the US made me here to be one day ahead from them. Yay! On June 5, 2021- we have received an email proposal from UP Repertory Company to become a Co Presenter of a Virtual Stage Play that they are doing with the theme: ATRAS-ABANTE: PASAKALYE SA LOOB AT LABAS NG SAKIT AT LUNAS Moving Backward- Forward: An introduction to inner and outer illness and cure I am not sure if i translated their theme correctly, but when the first time i received their proposal on being a co presenter, the title of their Virtual Stage Play which will aired via Facebook Live streaming on their Group Page is called Albularyo, but as i talk to them through Phone Call and give them my opinion about the status of Filipino Traditional Healers, they have changed the title into Hilot. And Today Officially, we received the copy of our Memorandum of Agreement as Co Presenter of their Virtual Stage Play called Hilot. And with that, I am encouraging you to participate in this online event that will happen via Facebook Live on July 31, 2021. With this, I am asking for your monetary donation to encourage our Artist who are going to perform on the said stage play. Any amount will do and all of your donation will go directly to the performers and actors of The UP Repertory Company. By the Way, did I not mention that our Actors and Performers are currently enrolled college students of UP Diliman and the Stage Play are part of their academic activity that will be graded? UP repertory Company of University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City have reached out to us asking for partnership to present a Virtual Stage Play that will happen Via FB Live Streaming on July 16, 2021. I responded to their call as it touched my soul as i read the synopsis of their play. It is about the Filipino Albularyo and the status of our Traditional Healers throught time. My Tita call this as Tahebo but when i conduct close study to this tree i learn that it is a Mulberry. I get this when it was still young at Cupang, Muntinlupa to the old place where Tita Edith lives. And now i see it bearing many berries. I have utilized the leaves to make tea and have administered it to nanay to lower down her blood pressure as well as to relieve her constipation. Tatay made a joke that when nanay poop it will be like silk because Mulberry Leaf are used to feed the silk worm. I use also the dried powdered leave of mulberry in making herbal tablet which i call as Amulaser. Mulberry leaves are highly nutritious as it contains polyphenol anti oxidants, vitamins c, zinc, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium. There are study that says that Mulberry leaves can help lower blood sugar, cholesterol and inflammation. These attributes are useful in fighting heart disease and diabetes. I believe that this leaf can do more when it comes to our health.
