Irey did not understand much about St. Patrick’s day other than that you had to wear green or be pinched, but the ‘Kiss me I’m Irish’ shirt seemed like a good way to try and get a date. With her red hair she might as well be Irish anyway. She actually thought her Dad’s family was distantly related to Scots but it’s not like anyone knew any better to call her out on it. 

Anyway, she apparently looked Irish and festive enough that someone had thought she was part of the parade and had asked her to hand out plastic shamrock headbands to the people in the crowd. Having nothing much better to do, she did as she was told and the day found her putting headbands on random passersby. Not all of them seemed to appreciate her gifts, but she was having fun anyway. 

She’d placed the headband on a pink haired head before she even realized who it was she was interacting with.

  She turned to find herself looking down at the boy who was bent over at the waist, picking up some of the - maybe stolen - things that had rolled out of her broken shopping bag.  He looked to be around her age, maybe a little younger.  ( Of course, that could’ve just been the innocent, do-good gleam in his eye. )  

Jinx had every intention of telling him off - that she could handle herself, thank you - but, well, the fact remained that she could use the help.  And, besides, she was already drawing a lot of attention to herself ―it’d be better to get this cleaned up quickly and to move on to a new location and fast if she didn’t want to ruin her uniform with the worst silver accessory… So, lips pursing, she relented with―

“….―Thanks.  If you could just get that stuff over there…”

She’d take care of the immediate vicinity―and keep a look out for any cops…

“Of course,”  he said, immediately moving to pick up the rest of her fallen belongings. Never for a second did Zak stop to  consider the morals of the person  he was currently helping out. After all, why would he?

He worked quickly doing as he was ordered, gathering up her belongings without much of a moment of hesitation and taking it towards where she had indicated. 

He tried not to look through her stuff or notice what they were as they were her business, but he couldn’t help noting that they were all rather expensive items.  Hm, she was probably rich or something-

it's the GLOSS in her hair that pisses her off the most, she thinks.  the way her hair is always swept into a beautiful bun that has her veil clipped into it.  did she think that she was too high and mighty for the common folk to see her face?

Iris growled angrily as a man tried to claim that he only had half the coin to buy the bread he had bitten into.  LIAR.  she bends down, as if looking for something, her eyes flashing momentarily pink.

                  the man's pocket ripped and a handful of coins slipped out.

"Why thank you for the tip."  the smile was all hard sweetness.

                                       she couldn't do this often, not when the village already                                        whispered ' witch ' for her too pale skin and unnatural                                        eyes, but sometimes.  sometimes.

the girl is interrupted in her internal frustrations as the royal carriage stops in front of her, and a satin shoe steps out gracefully.

I'm just going to be lurking for a bit, because wowzers we have a field trip thing tomorrow and I have to wake up at the ungodliest time of day, at, like, 4:30 A.M. so I can make it on time for the 5:30 A.M. assembly -grumbles unhappily-. Anyway, it's a bit past 9:40 P.M. here so I can lurk a little more, try to knock off a few more drafts. I'm a bit lacking in energy now, though, so I might as well head off?
