Bookstore Blues | V and Touko

Staying cooped up inside all day wasn’t necessarily something the colorless king frowned upon; in fact, it was quite the contrary. Regardless, he couldn’t ignore that his new kingship meant he had to work on his sociability, but rather than go out and strike up conversations with random people, he would simply stroll about the city if he didn’t have any business elsewhere.
When he went out during the day, he found himself returning home only about an hour or so after leaving, his energy drained by the sheer amount of people out and about during the day. This afternoon, however, he had found a girl with long braids standing in front of the door to the abandoned bookstore he called home. He didn’t see people stop by the bookstore looking for the business all that often, or they stopped by when he wasn’t home, so it was something of a surprise. Either way, she didn’t seem too happy.
“Ah, my apologies. Are you looking to enter the bookstore?” he asked as he approached. “It’s currently out of business.”
