James growled as he tossed the strange plastic toy-looking thing aside. Toulouse hadn’t been anymore help than he had. “Great. Let’s try and get the tent set up.” Shaking his head, he started rummaging through their items and sighed deeply. “No stakes. No way to tether the damn thing to the ground.” Groaning, he sat back on his feet and looked at the redhead who seemed as if she would burst from her suppressed laughter. “What’s so funny, Kitten?”
“Why did we think this was a good idea? I mean…I thought Mr. Captain would be a little better at this sort of thing.”
“It was supposed to be romantic! Besides, I thought a hippie would be good at camping and one with nature. Or whatever bullsh–.” James ran a hand over his face. “Fuck it. Wouldn’t want you to get cold during the night after all,” he purred against her ear as he held her close. Tents. Who needed them?
