A Tour Around Cherry Beach ll Callie & Maribelle
Maribelle peaked her head out of her hospital room to make sure the coast was clear before she silently locked the door behind her. Reaching into a duffle-bag she took out a pair of jeans a comfortable t-shirt, finishing the outfit off with her warm leather Jacket. She was excited to finally leave, albeit without permission, of the hospital. A few days earlier, she'd been admitted due to passing out from malnutrition from skipping many meals a deal. Yet, if someone laid eyes on Maribelle now, you could hardly tell only recently she'd a ghastly white, famished thing. Scribbling a message on a sticky note for her brother, Maribelle escaped, blending in with the crowd, and successfully sneaked out with just a note of warning for her brother:
Dear Bro: going outside to get some fresh air! Will be back before you know. xxx Love you: Mari
Walking out onto the street, she checked her phone again for the address of Cakes & Cafe. By Charles Pier, She thought to herself, thoroughly confused to how to get there from the hospital. Glancing at her watch, she still had 30 minutes before Callie got off work, so there was still time even if she got lost. Walking around and turning many corners, Maribelle eventually decided to ask a nice looking grandmother who held a bag with the water Cakes and Cafe written on it for directions. After being pointed in the right way, she thanked the grandmother and arrived in front of the Cafe. Walking in, she was greeted by the refreshing and delicious smell of coffee and cakes. Business seemed to be booming with most of the tables filled and the atmosphere was bustling. Maribelle looked around, trying to spot Callie amidst the crowd.
