Jean totally dresses baby Marco up in super hip clothes like this and Armin is like, half horrified, half amused. "Jean, our son is not a toy." Jean kinda has some crazy weird fashion sense, especially when it comes to his baby boy, so thankfully Armin's there to stop him from buying anything too weird. Armin just buys very sensible clothing like sweaters and jackets and stuff, and he's fairly trendy, if he might say so himself.

I love your Jearmin baby!Marco au. I'm wondering how the dads coped with Marco's first tantrum. (or what they did when they first got some proper alone time together~ if you catch my drift~)

Oh my goshhhhhhhhhhhh YES I LOVE GETTING ASKS ABOUT BABY!MARCO AU. 8)

So for Marco’s first tantrum, Jean freaks. Armin’s in his office grading papers and Jean’s upstairs with Marco, trying to put him to bed, but Marco’s not having any of that. He starts screaming and crying and kicking and Jean is like oh my god I’ve broken my baby. With much struggling, HE RUSHES MARCO DOWNSTAIRS TO ARMIN who just jumps and is super disheveled with crazy hair and his glasses and papers everywhere like WHAT IS GOING ON. Jean just holds out Marco and blubbers sadly and Armin is like UHM I’VE READ ABOUT THIS IN THE BOOKS LET ME SEE.. And he’s silently freaking out but he can’t panic externally because Jean is already in pieces and HE HAS TO BE THE STRONG ONE HERE. He tries all these techniques in the books but Marco won’t calm down and he’s starting to get really frazzled, but finally, Marco wears himself out and just passes out sleeping in Armin’s arms. 

Well, they go out for a nice dinner in a nice restaurant, since it’s nice to be able to go out and not worry about finding a place that’s child friendly, and then they buy a mini cheesecake and take it home to eat with some wine, then THEY GET THE FRICK FRACK ON. They’re both a little tipsy and giggly and it’s just great, because they haven’t been able to be this loud in ages and oh gosh, they can keep the door open. And since they’ve got the time, they go for a second round, nice and slow. Then, they just lie in bed together, and Jean’s like aw man, it’s awfully quiet. And Armin just sighs and nods, because this house is way too big for two, and they miss hearing Marco babbling and they have this emotional moment. But still, it’s nice just to have time to themselves and be able to let loose and you know. 8)

I think I used the word ‘and’ about 500 times in this post.

(what they didn't take into account these three dorks know all of these movies by fucking heart and like to take turns reciting their favourite lines. marco may or may not own a lightsaber that he brings out for star wars marathons. armin has to  pause the movie for ages to dissect different scenes, which is how a two and a half movie turns into like five hours. poor, poor jean and reiner).

(and also he kind of worries because in my au headcanons, idk, i always imagine that jean's family is pretty wealthy and armin's...is not, so he's all 'oh god jean got me that really expensive thing and i can't afford that, what am i going to doooo').

he stays up all night pouring over the interwebs and just collapses in a heap at like 3am, giving up, there's no way he'll ever find the perfect present.

marco notices that armin's walking around like the living dead and he's all 'hey little armin what's up?', and armin in a fit of depair just lays it all out

(and marco wonders if this is actually going to be his entire life, being jean and armin's counsellor for EVERYTHING. the answer is yes marco, welcome to your life you wonderful boy you).

anyway marco is the best boy as always and just tells him 'if it's from you, it won't matter what it is, seriously', and armin is 'marco pls that is not helpful' and marco sighs over his life and just goes 'this band, jean likes it, there is a concert soon and you can get cheap tickets on ebay' idk, and armin hugs him he's just so happy, and that's it, that's jeans present.

(also he dresses up in maid costume on the birthday night, and it becomes a thing for them for their entire lives, armin dressing up on jean's birthday. so basically every birthday for jean is the best).
