Viva La Vida
So apparently my feature writing professor, who used to write for Rolling Stone, got to go to London and interview Coldplay. Pretty sweet in and of itself. But on top of that he was able to hear Viva La Vida before it was released on their album. So when the band let him listen to the song and asked for his thoughts afterwards he told them he loved it, it reminded him of his favorite Radiohead song. Two hours later Coldplay had re-recorded the entire song and changed the melody simply because they didn't want to be compared to Radiohead. My teacher helped created the melody for Viva La Vida. #Iwantacooljob.
