Just realized I could combine all my favourite Shade ships together to make a super convoluted but hilarious polycule. Shade, can you stop bagging ninja and save some for the rest of us.

HI TUMBLR! I'M HOSTING A DRAW THIS IN YOUR STYLE!

Is this just propaganda to spread my favourite Ninjago OTP? Yes. Yes it is. Sue me.

The goal is simple: draw Kai, Shade, Skylor, and/or Tox having fun together! You can use any combination of the quartet in any way you like!

Due date is May 22 (my birthday!) but you can post your work whenever you feel like it.

Any form of art is allowed! Writing, music, digital and visual art, moodboards and stimboards, and crafts are all welcome, provided they follow the rules. There is also no requirement for how detailed your piece has to be. Sketches or small drabbles are good too.

You can include other characters or OCs as well, as long as they are not the main focus of the piece.

There's no prize or anything for participating, as I don't want to turn this into a competition. I want people to participate because they're enjoying themselves, the characters and the creation process. Not because they feel like they have to.

Hi! Do you have any HCs for Kai/Tox/Shade/Skylor group? They've been living rent free in my head for some time now

Yesssss, the propaganda is working!

They steal each other's clothes a lot. Shade and Skylor only have about an inch between them in terms of height differences, so they swap outfits. Kai is the tallest, so his hoodies are constantly being stolen. (I think I have a drawing somewhere of Tox wearing Kai's hoodie; remind me to dig it out later.)

In order of spice tolerance from worst to best: Shade, Skylor, Kai, and Tox. Note that there is a HUGE gap between Kai's spice tolerance and Tox's spice tolerance. She has been known to slip chili oil in her partners' food as a prank on occasion.

The other three help Skylor out at the Noodle House a lot. Maybe in an AU, Kai retires from being a ninja and works there full-time?

They have a very specific sleeping order: Kai is always in the middle, Shade on his left, Skylor on his right, and Tox on top of whoever she deems her personal pillow at the moment.

The four of them sleeping together is great because Skylor steals pillows without realizing it, Tox kicks around a ton, and Shade accidentally has hit Kai a few times when moving around in his sleep. Poor Kai.

They definitely go on dates as a quad, but sometimes they occasionally split up into pairs, or go on dates as a trio so the fourth can have some alone time. This was crucial at the beginning of their relationship for everyone to get to know each other, especially Kai and Tox.

Tox is somehow the only sane man in the group. She has a thing for gay disasters I guess.

Kai cannot flirt with any of them for shit. Tox and Skylor love kissing him at once to rile him up.

They all have a ton of pet names for each other. Tox is usually called "Tox" or "Toxi", but when they bust out the "Toxikitia" she knows she's fucked.

Ever si ce your AU fic series now I've a Soulmateless Kai living in my head, Idk I find it curious him being the sole one without it.

Anyways, more Dakrflameshipping(? HCs please? I'm guessing the other three get pretty worried when there's a new world-ending event, also Kai is probably perpetually covered in scars.

In regards to the Soulmate AU...haha get rekt Kai.

On a more serious not, it's definitely created a lot of drama for Kai to not have a soulmark and for him to be a bit of a jerk about it, but he eventually gets better. Honestly, such a fun series to write! I can't recommend randomized pairings enough, because it forces you to look at new character dynamics and study them. Do they become friends? Enemies? Something more?

And plus some bonus DarkWildfireshipping headcanons! (I'm assuming you mean the polycule and not Kai x Shade lol)

I feel like every time some big disaster in Ninjago happens, the first course of action is to call Kai and make sure A. he hasn't been teleported into a new realm or something and B. everybody is alive and out of prison. (Kai is pretty good at patching up his scars, but he'll never say no to someone kissing his boo boos better lol)

I haven't seen DR so IDK much of what happens to them there, but imagining a polycule reunion would be fun! Or maybe after S9?

Everyone is a god at makeup except for Kai. This occasionally winds up in him getting roped into being someone's test dummy for them to try new makeup styles on. He usually comes out of it looking damn good (if constantly covered in black or green shades) so he can't complain.

Did I mention I have literally planned out their kids? Because yeah, I have. Anyways, they have a lot of kids. Cause why not.

Shade gets called "cat" a lot. Skylor is "Sky(e)", and she loves to call Kai "hot tamale". Kai is a little less creative with the pet names. He's working on it.

I think almost all of them have some nightmares, whether it's just your run-of-the-mill occasional bad dream, or more trauma connected, but it's not too unusual for one of them to suddenly wake up in the middle of the night. Commence to cuddling and snuggling.

Individually, Kai and Skylor are very physically affectionate while Tox and Shade are more solitary. Together, it's a total hug-fest and nobody is safe.

I just realized I've never mentioned their heights! Anyways, from shortest to tallest: Tox (5 ft, 2 inches), Shade (5 ft, 7 inches), Skylor (5 feet, 8 inches), Kai (5 feet, 10 inches).

Yeah Tox definitely gets called "smol" a lot and it doesn't annoy her as much as she pretends.
