Healing!Dean vs Toxic!Dean
So we all in this fandom where talking about that bar when we supposed Dean is locked... Remember we were discussing a lot bf this season aired about Dean's emotional prison.
The EMOTIONAL PRISON is a concept i begin to elaborate when Dean was possesed by AUMichael. But in the first half of the season we didn't see a lot of it, bc Dean came back so soon, and we almost didn't have flashbacks from what AUMichael!Dean did, just a couple of it, so... We were expecting a little more.. well we will have that now with the second Possession and the entrance in Dean's mind.
Toxic!Dean rules the emotional prison
First of all, I want to share with you the first meta I wrote about Dean, bc this has relevance again...
Let's make a tour inside Dean's soul
In this meta I mentioned two things really importants...
I mentioned AUMichael locking Dean in his own emotional prison, place from which Dean needs to break free. And Qareen, the goddess that could see the darkest desires from the heart, talking about THE LOVE DEAN HAS INSIDE COCKLED IN SHAME.

Qareen was intrigued, she even asked Dean who he was, bc she couldn't read his darkest desires, bc Dean has it locked down, so so repressed, that not even this goddess could reach it. And the shame, the shame are those unbreakable wall Dean had built in this prison. What is he hiding?
I think with AUMichael is happening the same, he can't reach Dean's deepest desires or repressed feelings, and that's why he ignores the love that Dean feels for Cas and their PROFOUND BOND.

Ok so... I know this comparison was made for many people, bc we like to compare the few Archangel's and Angel's Possession we had...
So... Happy place?
Castiel... Winchesters kitchen...
Sam... In the bunker library.
But Dean...
... this is not a happy place... This is an EMOTIONAL PRISON. Toxic!Dean taking control of the situation? Maybe keeping Healing!Dean "drowning in alcohol and depression". THIS IS THE ONLY WAY FOR AUMICHAEL TO KEEP DEAN UNDER HIS CONTROL.
Parallels and how we can reach Healing!Dean in his mind
We will have two parallels here... That time when Dean reaches Mary in her mind... It was difficult bc Mary was ignoring him all the time, trying to live a lie. And Dean reached her through LOVE.
"I love you" sigh...
And the other parallel is the way Dean could wake up and break free from this prison... We have two examples...

Both of this Awakening are related with LOVE. FAMILY LOVE AND BROTHERHOOD.
So... We can say LOVE is what will wake up Dean. Following the evidence will be family ties. Memories...
But I believe won't be just that... As you already read y my "Liar Liar" meta... I truly believe Cas will have a huge intervention revealing what is Profound Bond for and his meaning.
The many scenarios we had representing Dean's emotional prison and mind
We were talking about Dean's mind or Dean is dreaming in the first half of the season with my friends @magnificent-winged-beast @emblue-sparks and @mrsaquaman187 , in fact was all a foreshadow for this moment...

So... This dark rooms we were seeing in the majority of the episodes from the first half of the season, are part of the emotional prison, things that Dean had repressed, John Winchester is the most heavy issue to solve and the GUILT HERITAGE too.
He was doing great LEARNING HIS LESSONS and healing. But now... Michael has it again... He thinks he broke him... But I truly believe he doesn't. Dean Winchester will resurface from his ashes helped by Sammy and Castiel.
In conclusion:
The emotional prison and the walls are things that we build by ourselves. We are the ones that locked ourselves inside of that and we are the only ones that can break free from that.
The key for Dean to break his walls and prison is through FAMILY/BROTHERHOOD BOND/LOVE as we saw in Cas and Sam possessions, but this time in Dean's case we will need that LOVE HE KEEPS CLOCKED IN SHAME that resides inside of him, this PROFOUND BOND with Castiel... and we need Sammy here for helping them...

...as he gave the advice to Mary (mirroring Cas) to talk with AUBobby, and try to break this walls and figure out what was going on in the depth of his mind and soul...
And by the end of the episode Mary was healing AUBobby physically and symbolically, taking care of his wounds, and his soul.
This is what I want to happen people, Sam and Cas reaching Dean... And by the end of the journey... I want THE TALK that the writers were foreshadowing ... (I believe) in the first half of the season. And Healing!Dean breaking free from his emotional prison!
