2 & 4 for the music thing
2. a song that reminds you of schoolit’s actually rachmaninoff’s piano concerto no. 2 in c minor. i did specialist music all through high school and this was one of two pieces i studied all of year 12. i can’t remember the second piece anymore (i have the score for it somewhere) but this one… this one i’ve never been able to disassociate from school. (it’s also the tower of heaven theme from the fairy tail ost, and i literally died when i heard it in the anime.)
edit: also berlioz’s symphonie fantastique, specifically the 5th movement. this was the one i did in year 11. the story behind this one is fucking wild haha. but i also highly associate this with school.
4. a song that is not sung in your native languagehmm… i don’t listen to a lot of music that actually has much vocal work on it. but, my best friend is an opera singer/doing her honour’s in music studies at the moment (she just had her first professional paid gig a few weeks ago and i’m so proud of her!!). a lot of the pieces she sings are in german. i never know the names of them, but basically that’s my answer. sort of? haha. tl;dr anything my friend sings for for recitals because 99% of it is in german.

How is calling grown men cinnamon rolls infantalizing? It just means they're really sweet/innocent? Can grown men not be considered sweet/innocent?
It’ll be like, a grown man does one little thing and suddenly he’s a cinnamon roll. That isn’t to say that a guy can’t be sweet, or kind, or innocent what but it seems like it’s idolizing guys for small or average things as well? And I can’t speak for anyone else but I rarely ever see grown women called the same? 99.999% of the time it’s men. It really plays into the whole “putting dudes on pedestals for being basically decent” thing.
Characters are different. They’re not real. We can see nearly every move they make and how each individual action factors into their characterization. We aren’t given the same kind of insight into the lives of actual people and even if we were, the phrase, as it’s used now, seems to minimize the complexity of an individual. Maybe folks recognize that and use it ironically or whatever but as quickly and as often as many others gets fanatical about this kind of stuff, I wouldn’t doubt that a decent number of people who really do think that these “cinnamon rolls” can do next to no wrong.
