Nearing final demo release

Whelp, after quite a bit of work, the newest, and final, demo version is almost ready to be released, we just need to wait for a few small assets and audio and we'll be golden. We're also looking for some help. A tileset artist. Now, as most people know, this game is being made entirely for fun, no one is making money out of this, so if you would like to submit some mlp-esque tilesets for the game, please email them to [email protected]. credit will be given where due =3

Snapshot-Demo release!!!!!

GREAT NEWS For once I’VE ACTUALLY RELEASED A PROPER OFFICIAL DEMO Keep in mind the weapon shop in Canterlot is NON-EXISTANT... thus why there’s no door yet. Development still goin

As of now, I’ve started work on polishing up Ponyville and related locations, as well as getting some work started on Canterlot. Should be decently close to releasing either another snapshot or even a full fledged Demo. We’ll see~

Site update + Super-Duper-Early demo release

Alright, so. Two things we’re gonna cover today. First off: The current site status. Me and Chris (Yeah, daz his name, he normally goes by “Nether” however) have got a decent (albeit still comparitively small) portion of the new site coded together. It is still not known when this site will go live, but I’d assume it to be relatively soon. Now for the update you’re actually caring about (cmon, be honest..) I’ve released a new update to the game, it is, as you can probably tell, VERY unfinished, barely polished, and all around... well... early XP I’m reelasing this as a “Demo” simply because I don’t know what else to call it, it’s nothing more than an unfinished segment of the overall game. I guess you could call it a tech demo. but given it does contain official assets and whatnot, I doubt that “tech demo” would suffice to what it’s called. Anyways, you can find the game on our downloads page, http://shygaming.yolasite.com/downloads keep in mind that it’s very unfinished, and once you get to SugarCube corner, the game will selflock and you’ll be stuck in there, however, you can find a certain... character inside to interact with, however, you may have a bad time with it XD have fun guys, and enjoy the latest alpha release!!!

I’m an artist (my art tag, some of it is kind of old), and I already have a few ideas for characters. I’m also a writer, so I could help with the storyline too. I’m generally pretty active, so I could answer asks and post submissions as well.

How active will you be on a scale of 1-10? 6-7

It has come to my attention that toxicrain101 is being... Heavily criticized... for their newest creation, Rain’s House of Horrors. 

Now, constructive criticism is well and good, but it’s absolute rubbish if it’s baseless. If you’re going to claim that there is a fault in someone’s work, at least say why. 

for example, to quote one anon, who (in my opinion somewhat blatantly) stated “ you cant just copy popular ideas and get away with it” is not how to properly criticize someone (at least, in my book.) Saying something like “You know, this seems very similar to [insert creative work here], and it looks like you copied it.” something like that would be a lot more helpful.

And hey - there’s always the possibility that it’s just a coincidence, no more, no less. 

When in doubt, I think that the best way to handle opinions is to apply quantum entanglement to them - that is, both true and not true until examined further or supported with evidence.

I think that we’d have a lot less misunderstandings this way. Don’t you?
