🌸 Your favorite original character? Hands down @archmight [ Michael; ] I genuinely feel blessed not only getting to write with the character, but also being given permission to integrate him into Lute’s broader lore. Grimm’s writing is genuinely incredible; the amount of thought, care & thematic depth put into Michael as a character, his history, personality, relationships & symbolism is honestly insane. Everything about him feels intentional & deeply lived-in, & interacting with that interpretation has genuinely enriched my own writing & worldbuilding for Lute tremendously [ hint: Michael is also very much Lute's favorite 🙂‍↕️ ] I don't ship with OCs often; not because I do not love them [ I have plenty of fandomless & canon-divergent muses myself, ] but because I usually struggle reconciling original characters with established canon. That is honestly just a limitation on my end because I compartmentalize things very specifically. Somehow, Grimm’s Michael completely bypassed all of that; not only is he feel vital to Lute in basically every capacity imaginable, romantic or otherwise, but he has become one of those rare characters I know I will keep integrated regardless of whatever canon ultimately does. I genuinely cannot stress enough how unusual that is for me because I never operate that way. That is how much I adore Michael as a character & how deeply I respect Grimm’s writing. Yes, it's that good!

🤫 Someone you secretly admire? @bungem’s bunny gal, Elara. I absolutely adore the way she integrates Elara into practically everything & somehow makes it feel completely natural every single time. Interactions, dynamics, ships, aesthetics, lore; there is just something incredibly alive about the way she writes & positions her muse within the worlds around her. Elara never feels “inserted” into a setting; she feels like she belongs there intrinsically, which is such a difficult thing to pull off with original characters [ for me, personally... ] I genuinely love seeing her on my dash because every interaction feels thoughtful, immersive & deeply affectionate toward the character herself. She inspired me to start revisiting my own original characters again. As much as I love canon muses, I love writing OCs too, but I had honestly fallen off that wagon for a while & became weirdly hesitant about it. Seeing how confidently & lovingly Elara is written rekindled that spark for me in a really meaningful way. There is something very inspiring about watching somebody care for their muse so openly & creatively... I love it, 10/10, I will take two more please!

📝 A mutual whose headcanons you always look out for? @pridetempt! Poppins’ Lucifer is genuinely out of this world. The way she has woven Lucifer not only into what we have canonically so far, but also through her own original twists & expansions while still always feeling intrinsically Lucifer, is honestly incredibly impressive to me [ + I envy so much (affectionate) because that shit is so hard... ] Her headcanons feel thoroughly researched, deeply considered & seamlessly connected to the broader lore/context of the series in a way that makes everything click together naturally. I am always reading whatever she has to say regarding Lu because there is consistently something thoughtful, clever or emotionally insightful there to chew on afterward. [ I cannot say the same for Lute because that becomes terminate ON SIGHT immediately, but anyway; ] Genuinely one of those portrayals where you can feel how much care, attention & passion has gone into every aspect of the character...

UNPOPULAR OPINION @toxitrosia

with all the love and due respect to my mutuals... v.ivzie is too much of a tumblr girl to be a good showrunner. it's easily the reason why the show's pacing is so bad.

i mentioned in one of my earlier hot takes that you could cut several characters and nothing would change with the plot. we on tumblr have a culture of watching media, plucking up our faves, and giving them all the love and development that canon never could give them. it's what we do, and i love that this is a space for us to do that.

that said, i think that v.ivzie had so much love for every character she's made that she doesn't have the heart to drop any of them, even if their role in the story adds almost nothing (i.e. baxter literally couldn't fit in S1, and by the time we got him in S2, he's only present as far as his plot relevance to hacking the tower and being ex-partners with pentious.) we're left with a show that has no idea how to balance its cast of like EIGHTEEN characters. we genuinely don't need that many characters and we're still getting more in future seasons oh my god -

you guys know i love the vees, but please tell me why they're still gonna continue to be important next season when we've also got lilith coming, and lute's mental decline, and angel dust's family introduction, and more lore for the morningstar family, and alastor becoming more of a villain, and why rosie being so powerful, and the potential debut of roo - ( these are all things that v.ivzie has confirmed for next season and i'm so tired pls )
