mass-produced toys aren’t made that fast.
the Baby Yoda toys are very probably already finished and on the two-month overseas trip on a container boat from China, and probably have been since before Disney+ launched.
If anything, the January release date is because they wanted to avoid toy-based spoilers (which were probably still out there, if anyone had been looking)
Now, yes, we could go into the whole “It’s probably being made by Mattel because Hasbro hasn’t been raking in the money with SW toys over the last few years and let a license or two slide” thing, but, the people who seem to believe that they toys aren’t going to be available until January because there’s currently some sort of rush to get them made due to unexpected popularity of this obviously-engineered-to-be-appealing character design...probably wouldn’t get the significance of SW character toys being made by Mattel. So.
