GLAMOUR WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2013
Thursday the 25th of July, an illustrious congregation rose to the occasion for an evening of glitz and Glamour.
Eight women were honoured by Glamour Magazine, for their outstanding achievements and their commendable contribution to society.
Amongst the winners, were the likes of sound maker Pretty Yende, The humorous Anne Hirsch, Pop sensation Toya Delazy, Felicity Spies – ever stylish founder Egality Fashion, Media Phenomenon Liezel vd Westhuizen, The charismatic Nicola Jackman, Activist and campaigner Muholi Zanele.
The Readers Choice was awarded to Minnie Dlamini, who was dressed in a black and gold figure hugging ensemble, which looked too good for words. On the downside, the speech got too long, people got very bored, but we still love her anyway.
The evening was hosted by last year’s WOTY winner Bonang Matheba who was dressed beautifully in an all white fitted dress and coat. She was undoubtedly amongst our favourites for the evening.
It was lovely meeting the stunning editor of Glamour SA, Pnina Fenster who welcomed us with her warm personality. Conversation with the foxy lady was an absolute pleasure.
The event was hosted at the Southern Sun in Hyde Park where guests were treated to Make Up and Nail bars. Cocktails were the order of the night, with the odd few slurping on wine. Guests were spoiled with delightful gift hampers, a perfect fit for the theme.
The fashion success amongst the celebrities at the awards, on a scale of one to ten, deserves a SIX. Hoping for more fashion inspiration at the Glamour WOTY 2014 Awards.
