When Loki woke up, it was barely past dawn. The Lone Star hadn't faded from sight yet.

 

There was a tick above his left eyelid. Loki extricated himself from the covers, one hand over his face. The fires had been put out sometime in the night. The embers still glowed blue, though.

 

A frostbird flew past the windows, crest aglow and throat bulging with a deep, chary hoot.

 

Loki looked at the mortal bundled up beside him.

His thoughts wandered to Helblindi, as he looked at her sleeping form.

A/N: Soooo, like I promised, I'm posting the first draft of the political map of Jötunheimr now, because things are gonna get real messy real soon, and y'all are probably gonna need a map to figure out where everything is. (Or at least I will need the map, because I'm terrible at remembering names of places.) The cities marked are the main cities of the Realm(with the palaces and shit), and I'm kinda unsure whether or not to draw another map with just the cities with famous landmarks/cities that will have several roles to play in the future? Tell me what you think. Also, I'm at a complete loss regarding the physical map. I have no idea how to draw it, and it's been long enough for me to have forgotten my geography lessons from when I took the subject. It'll be great if y'all could give me some advice regarding digital map making! (Well, tbh I CAN draw a MAP, but it's gonna look terrible and I want it pretty.) In any case, if anybody has any idea about which apps/websites to use, PLEASE message me.

Ok guys quick note: I'll update TPACOA this week. I haven't updated in two weeks because October and November are very hectic months for most Indians (desi people will know what I mean) but I finally have some free time so I'll update on Friday.

Also, a new fic is going to be posted soon. I'm going to start working on it today, and it'll probably have around three chapters (hopefully, if it doesn't decide to become a 50 chapter long monster.) I'll probably post that before this week's TPACOA update. Maybe even tonight. Let's see what happens.
