Ok me back to back but can I be frank…. The groups are starting to feel pointless… like in season 1 we had corrupted members and fights between them, meanwhile we’ve had ZERO fights with any group members in season 2 when they would’ve been much better than getting rid of THREE INTERESTING ANTAGONISTS (Circubit, though he’s recorrupted so him being purified that early was just stupid anyways; Ajaceare; and Cyanide). Seriously all BGC has done so far is point the caretakers and heroes towards other threats. They never WERE the threat themselves like in s1, nor did they give any useful information besides redirecting attention. FOR FUCKS SAKE BOSSFIGHT’S ROLE IN S2 COULDVE BEEN DONE BY A ORANGE TREE GROUP WHY ARE THEY HERE. So maybe groups aren’t starting to feel pointless, the orange tree groups are just being shafted yknow

I think the main problem with the popular ships in the fandom (mainly the mlm ones) is that they really quickly turn into… I guess yaoi bait??? I don’t know how to phrase it properly but using Cube x Lythorus and Cintagon x Circumsphere as an example I often see the former being made essentially helpless and and infantilized while their partner is made to be more competent and serious and it’s like. It’s either stated or heavily implied that these characters are the same age/close to it. What is going on. I don’t actually know if this is a modern fandom issue since I haven’t interacted with any new fans as of late but it had been a reoccurring issue when I WAS interacting with people and I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone mention it out in the wild so here I am ! /silly but all that just to say make the characters in the ships act their age… like they can be shy or somewhat ignorant without being incompetent and childish… oh right it’s a huge mlm stereotype isn’t it I just thought of that 😭

Lowkey, I wish we could get more lore to Circusic/Circubit, yea we know that he basically died and got revived by the reaper as a corrupt, and now he’s planning to corrupt Iris to get revenge? Maybe since Iris’s father is now dead technically right now, but m*re* clearly is taking too long to post more pink corruption lore, and the fact right now she’s even posting it in parts? Mind you I saw that she posted ep 6 of season 2 in parts on HOLIDAYS. and yet she still hasn’t even posted part 5?? like I just want the pink corruption episodes and the lore. and now she’s claiming that she is animating it now?? I don’t even know at this point, I’m trying to be patient but clearly she’s taking too long.

But in conclusion, I just want Circusic/Circubit’s character to develop more into the lore of how he and Iris came to be, maybe even proving how Iris got with Pentellow and Circusic is canonically jealous? AND I wanna see what he was actually stealing or not, though I think it was mostly the crown he was trying to steal or something else.

trying to rewrite tpc and there’s a very big circu(sic/bit)-shaped obstacle in the way. what the fuck is his deal.

I like the guy yeah. I like that he’s mysterious. But why does he act like he’s completely immune to the corruption. He corrupts, but there’s no double? He’s just himself?? Maybe it’s because he’s dead who knows

i want to like the guy but his whole Thing is annoying me to death. In my rewrite the Corrupts are their own people, like their counterpart’s personalities were shifted just a little to the left, because it seems to be the case in canon but Circubit is just… Circusic?? He corrupts really easily. It’s like Circusic immunized himself or something, so he looks corrupt but isn’t???? Also what even are his motivations. His personality kind of reminds me of Hobie Brown if he was terrible.

basically I have no idea how the fuck one of the more popular tpc characters (?? maybe it’s been a minute since i’ve looked at the fandom) works and i feel like a fake fan for not understanding LMAO

whaaat are all of us doing here. you dont gotta answer this but i dont really... know anywhere else to talk about tpc anonymously. tpc is objectively poorly written and most of us agree on this but for some reason i just cant leave it alone. ive so fixated on it for years. and with the creators being... yeah... i feel guilty for it. are all of us bad people for continuing to stay in this fandom/enjoy the show?

I feel like most...if not all of the characters in TPC are so poorly written.

Now the seasons themselves, maybe, but just learning about said chars make it impossible to due to the lack of stuff to them and whatnot.

Especially with CHIPZEL and DANIMAL CANNON, with their lack of screentime (especially DC thus far, CHIPZEL is supposed to make a return in S2 we have YET to get) we don't get to know much about them. Even then S1 itself is poorly written since it basically changes focus midway from Cube to Pentellow with not much of a dire cause other than the "family search" which feels so unneeded (especially since Pentellows reaction to said info doesn't feel correct).

I wanna say S2 is onto a great start, but even then it's poorly written in its own sections. We don't get a good look on who S2 is mainly meant to focus around as it seems to be a jump from a jumble of chars (Iris, Cusic/Bit the works).

I hate to be the partypooper and such, but literally everything in TPC seems so badly written that it doesn't exactly seem like it'll work as an actual series than just a jumble of whatever could be made up last minute and thrown into it. Especially with every shape's personalities and such (there's good ones, but even those are a mess). It doesn't help with the plot and stuff of each and every season and either makes it worse or just doesn't change it nearly at all.

I might get exploded for this rant, but it feels like the dead honest truth to me 💔

i think everything started falling apart after s2 or when m*rei started getting more involved with TPC in general. And i think we all agree to the fact they uncorrupted cyanide WAY too early #recorruptcyanide

uh... Where do I start? I'm not really in the tpc fandom anymore but when I was team Chipzel lived in my head rent free and I still get happy when they get mentioned :)

I hope they do come back in S2!
