You know what would fix me rn?
Being the cause of a pretty girl’s suffering.
Hi K,
I am not sure if you answer questions like this, no worries if you don't.
Someone I know wants to jump straight into TPE with me. I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of that, obviously I'm not going to do it. I am not new to BDSM but I am new to exploring TPE. From what I have read online there are no safe words in a TPE dynamic.
As a Domme, do you ever get scared of making mistakes when you're establishing a new TPE dynamic with someone? Do you ever worry that you're going too far or too hard?
To work around this do you usually have a safe word with the sub to begin with while you are getting to know each other well?
I'm in my late 20's (she/her)
Hi! I'm more than happy to answer questions like this and, honestly, any question, as long as it's respectful of me and my privacy. :) It might take me a few days to get to meaty questions like this though because I want to give you a good answer!
First, always trust your gut. Just like with anything else in life, don't do anything in kink or with a partner that you're uncomfortable with. I'm so happy to hear that you already know confidently that you're not going to move forward exploring something you know you're not comfortable with.
Regarding safewords: ummmmmm, there are ALWAYS safewords in my TPE dynamics. It's important to remember that kink is whatever we make it. If the internet says TPE has no safewords and your TPE does, I promise the internet TPE police will not come knocking. Create kink that is safe and sustainable for you. It's not your concern what works for others.
A little more on safewords specifically though... while my TPE always has safewords, there can come a time when a submissive is so devoted or deep in subspace in an intense dynamic that they don't feel fully comfortable using a safeword. It's everyone's responsibility in a dynamic to have conversations regularly about safewords, safety in general, and the intensity of a dynamic. It is also the Dominant's responsibility to be extremely aware of the health and safety of the submissive as we will often pick up on their moments of need before they do. Of course I worry about going too far; I worry even in well established dyanmics. I think that's part of what makes me a responsible and safe Domme. Humility can't entirely exit the body, after all. All I can do is check in consistently and do my best to make it a mutually beneficial experience.
Sorry for the long answer, but I hope it helps!!
i purposely waited a little while to send that ask so that you couldn’t figure out who :) on a side note, your blog has seriously made me realize how much i like tpe. i’ve previously been in a (almost tpe) 24/7 D/s relationship for nearly a year, but it was with a male Dom and i didn’t fully understand that i’m a lesbian yet. i thought that because i didn’t love that dynamic that 24/7 and tpe wasn’t for me, but i’m starting to realize that i feel way better about it with a woman. so anyway, thank you for that!
Clever girl.
Notes like these are why I continue to return to tumblr despite tumblr doing everything in its power to dissuade me from being here.
If I can help even one person realize they belong in the world power exchange, surrender, and control then I think my presence here is worth it. Thank you for sharing and for reminding me that this website isn't a place of total brainrot and misery.
Also - I'm very pleased to hear there is another TPE lesbian sub running around the world. We need more of those.
