Cooper had his post-op TPLO assessment for healing. His rads looked great. Now his truncal alopecia is an issue where it hasn't grown back. Me thinks some endocrine testing is in order.

The moral of the story is I got to see my dog get all hyped up to see me. For this reason, I was not involved in his sedation. He fights through sedation when he so much as hears me, so as I was critiquing his rads, his tail started wagging viciously.

He was anxious so I spent as much time with him as possible

Easiest way to get him stimulated after being reversed: Coop, do you wanna go for a ride? He shot up like a bullet!

Boe is unofficially* free to be a dog again!!

His doc said the xrays look great and everything is healed. We can start taking longer walks now!

*it will be official and he'll be allowed off leash as soon as the radiologist gives the okay which will take about a week.

Day 7. Under my watchful eye he can be cone-free. So far I'd say he is doing very good. I don't see any redness or swelling at the surgery site. We've graduated to a 20m walk once a day or two 15m walks a day. Not showing any interest in it...yet. Have dialed back the pain meds starting today. Next dialback will be at day 10. Day4 recovering from the implant removal. Just got back from a short walk down the street and he bonked so letting him out of the cone while he sleeps. Bailey is such a trooper. He's been in his pen coned up while we unpack Ricky's storage garage and bring everything over here to prepare it for the big trip to WW. The injection block is supposed to be wearing off today/tomorrow so he may not be up for any exercise. Start of week 5 !!! Took the poopers out for a 20m walk after having lunch with a friend. That's right...we are up to 20m now! And Luna is joining for some of these walks now that they've shown they can behave together. Still not cleared for hills, so went down the greenbelt trail. Their noses were ON FIRE 🔥 and happy 😊.
