We’re excited to announce we are creating four short films focusing on the lives of older trans people in Wales, as part of the Trans Ageing and Care Project (TRaC). Their aim is to provide ‘dignified and inclusive health and social care for older trans people in Wales’ and they’ve been conducting lengthy audio interviews for the past year.
The fifth film is about the project itself. We will be releasing these short films online at the end of this year. We trekked all around Wales to film, and it was very humbling hearing stories from trans people from all walks of life. One person is a retired pilot for a large airline. One person had never met another trans masculine person before. Another spoke of having to pay for prescriptions because of a transphobic doctor.
