Hii! If you are still taking requests and feel interested enough, could you please draw Silas and Trad together in any way you would think of? 🙏 I really like your artstile, it is such an eyecandy 🙏🙏🙏
aka the questions and answers that didn't manage to make it into the manga. they sure are out there though!!
i'm far from normal and keep diving back into content to see what else i could find. this time i managed to come across qna sessions from hiro which were supposed to make it into the manga but they couldn't fit them all DFSJLDF compiling all my translations here so everyone can have access to them (◕‿◕) this is gonna be one of those long posts...
Q: can you tell us a bit more about other things that shu cooks? does he like desserts?
A: shu had to learn to cook due to his busy family and he sometimes makes himself desserts after his meals. his favorite is pudding.
Q: i want to know what your initial thoughts behind ben azuki were?
A: ben was created all the way back when i was stockpiling characters for the series. to imagine a character's personality i always take a look at their designs first and try to envision what they'd be like. how would they act, how would they talk? for ben i imagined someone with poor socialization skills that keeps snapping at others like "haa?!"
(only one of the three questions was answered here)
Q: can you explain why the children's hairstyles are becoming more insane?
A: i like to give character silhouettes a sense of "discomfort" but in the best way possible. i believe this is why many of the characters have such unique hairstyles.
Q: hiro sensei, what were your initial ideas for shu?
A: i had the idea for a rivalry between the excitable protagonist and cool rival from the get-go though i struggled with it because im terrible at making "cool characters".
the idea was scrapped but at the start shu had an older sister that worked in showbiz.
Q: what was your initial idea for zac the sunshine?
A: zac was the very last spin emperor i finished working on. originally, i wanted sisco to take his spot (and this seems to be why we see him on the cover of the manga before he even appeared) but we decided against that and just made a new guy. i was inspired by my idol MJ and got to work to make a more captivating character
Q: what's the story behind valt and shu's meeting? (like who made the first move, what did the other think, etc.)
A: when asked something like this i always think back to my own childhood friends and wonder how i met them. if you're meant to be best friends it just happens naturally without even realizing.
Q: could you share the team's efforts on ensuring that the key points of burst (such as shu and valt's relationship) aren't lost when adapting the manga into an anime?
A: there is a meeting regarding the anime's script each month with director akiyama, writer sonoda-san and the rest of the animation team. many things are discussed during the meetings including character development, future plot points and the overall direction of the series. we were at our busiest before the anime aired because we held meetings almost every week.
Q: what is beyblade exactly? is it a regulated sport within the world?
A: beyblade is not just a hobby or sport. beyblade is part of the world's culture. you can imagine it as how soccer has become part of certain people's cultures. i believe beyblade is capable of achieving the same heights.
Q: i recall during season one the heights of both valt and xhaka were revealed. if possible please let us know the heights of other characters!
A: when it comes to heights i always start comparing the characters to each other. for example shu and zack are around the same height, the same goes for daina and valt. xhaka is way too tall to be used as comparison. i assigned him my height (186cm). when the anime staff asked about him i just stood up and they instantly understood
Q: during the first tournament's finals valt and shu seemed evenly matched. what shu really giving it his all?
A: while shu was injured right before that battle that doesn't mean he wasn't giving it his all. shu used all the power he had at the time, though he didn't expect he'd need to push himself so hard. still he was happy to see how far valt has gotten. this is the scene i wanted to convey
Q: i wanted to know if ken still takes keru and besu to his new school?
A: of course, keru and besu are always with him! at school, in the shower even when he sleeps
Q: op privated their account 💔
A: i made a small two-paged comic to explain shu's personality to the staff. in the comic shu's mom comes back exhausted from work and shu makes both of them dinner. she asks him about his day and they talk about it.
Q: how do you decide on a character's name?
A: the first name comes from their bey's initials and the last name comes from their bey's color. this is my most basic rule. if i think the character deserves something more specific i get inspiration from their traits. ex: free was a champion so i named him after a legendary boxer
Q: i want to know where the inspiration for alexander gilten came from. why did he try to create the strongest bey and what even led to that?
A: gilten, as a character, exists to solidify shu's descent into darkness to the readers. in real life there are many billionaires who own soccer and racehorse teams. while some might be part of that for business reasons, others do it purely for the prestige of it all. i believe gilten is the same
this is already in english, so enjoy!
Q: for how long have chris and trad known each other? trad values bc sol's traditions a lot so how deep do his ties with the team run?
A: the kurodas are a really prominent household and bc sol's management falls on them. trad is in charge of all training and sport-related duties. the tradition he loves referring to is the legacy which bc sol hasn't wavered on
Q: i'd love to hear any backstory you might have on sisco!
A: sisco had been wandering all over the world. he found the place where he belonged, bc sol, so he decided to finally settle. the anime staff and i love to joke around that sisco was the main character of season 2 all along
aaand so far this is all i could find! not much groundbreaking information but i'm never gonna turn down more fun facts. as per usual i'll keep digging and i'll update this post if i come across another qna session 🦈🦈

I am and still am hella scared to say this because I thought this would cause so much discord and drama to the point i’d have videos about me,, *deep breath* here’s my opinion as to why Trad isn’t really that bad of a character;
he isn’t really mean, he just worries for BC sol and its bladers, he might seem a bit uptight and such most of the time towards the team but it’s because, he expects the best to come from the team, if you’re like “But he disagrees on Chris’s ideas!!!!11!!” he dosen’t really disagree, he just sometimes worries Chris’s ideas might not go right so he gives her advice , like, that’s his job, he is HER ADVISOR, Advisors are like assistants who give advice, and that’s what he does, if he didn’t care about the team he’d be like “yeah yeah whatever do what you want, lose, win, both, i don’t care about that” but, he cares,
Sure, sometimes he does a few mistakes here and there but most of the time he apologizes in some way,
He is just serious and acts like how someone mature would, that’s it
if you’re like “WHAT??? HE IS HATED??? WHERE???” well,,from what i’ve seen he’s pretty hated,,
ps; i’m not trying to force you to love him,I just had this in my chest and i let it out
