233 E Anaheim St in Long Beach for several years was sad dumpy auto repair/painting place that seemed like it was closed more often that it was open. The photo on top was taken in April of 2007. Thankfully the property was turned into Trademark Brewing in June 2019 and they really did fantastic job of restoring the building's Art Deco splendor. Of course, due to COVID-19, it has been most shut since March 2020 and has been doing pick-up business only, which is only a fraction of their regular business. Hopefully Trademark survives this. I really enjoyed going there & they had a great selection of beers (a 10 minute bicycle ride from where I live and have lived for the past 20 years).
