Making it a point to leave extra time to get to campus today with the holiday travelers.  Commuting west towards the city/into can be a pain in the ass and heading east on the way home is going to be a pain, too.  Just need to have patience and some music I can dance in the car to.

out of flags. so my dad and i are going to yom kippur services tomorrow afternoon at a synagogue in the city that neither of us have ever been to before. i was on the website just poking around and apparently they had a livestream of the current kol nidre service going on right now.

i tuned in towards the very end just in time to hear the rabbi to joke: “we invited the pope for tomorrow’s yom kippur service. figured it’d be nice. who knows? wouldn’t that be funny.”

One concept that I will never ever understand is traffic. Like the road doesn't end. Why are we stuck in the same spot for an hour? Who even starts the traffic? It just doesn't make any sense.
