Despite how unfamiliar and foreboding such a large city could be, Aoba enjoyed that many people would come and go within the little junk shop he had set up in Sector five. Many had become regular faces and he had amassed a quaint little team. It was like home, except...different in a way that was just right.
It only made sense that there was a new method to handling things when he wasn`t in Midorijima anymore. This town was huge and required lots of workers for one little junk shop. Aoba was quite proud of his employees, although some gave him more issues than others. He could think of a couple in particular, but there was no need for name calling right now.
Ren had been padding around the entrance, puffy tail wagging as the bell jingled softly, an alert that someone new, or perhaps someone old had come inside. Calling out his welcome as always, hazel eyes looked forward...and then down to locate her gaze. So small!
Neither of them had seen this petite girl before.
The sense of urgency about her made him a tiny bit worried. She looked a little fragile. Perhaps she was lost?
Of course Aoba had no idea she was much older than she looked - to him she appeared like a little sprout of a child.
When she picked up his little allmate, however, he jumped onto a new train of thought. Everyone always loved to play with his dog, but there was a little surprise in store for them that made him smile each and every time.
"Oh, I think he likes you." Indeed, he still liked to play around with the fact that everyone would think Ren was just a normal dog when they played with him.
「I always enjoy new company.」 He replied simply, his little pink tongue sticking out as he looked up at the young(?) girl.
He wondered if she would be shocked by such a voice! He couldn`t help but laugh -- hopefully that wouldn`t spook her too much.
