      They were all caught up in the events that seemed to happen so fast and yet it felt like they were dragged out and going painfully slowly. One tragedy hitting after the other, although it should be something they were used to by now. Raven felt like she couldn’t even catch a break. That’s why she seeked a few moment of quiet,  just to take a deep breath. She noticed Gaia and a fresh wave of guilt run through her body. “I’m sorry. We didn’t even realize you were gone until just now and that’s probably not a nice thing to hear. We were all caught up in our own drama and everyone probably just assumed you were safe. But that’s no excuse for losing one of our own.” There was a lot more guilt weighing heavy on her shoulders, but there was no one else around to apologize for it. No one but Murphy and she wasn’t ready to have that deep conversation just yet.

@tragedyhymns​ gets a starter for Matthias 

She liked Matthias ( she liked most of the delinquents, to be fair, she was an equal oppurtunity friend to everyone in the dropship camp ) even though he seemed to lean more toward Clarke’s leadership than Bellamy’s- something she found odd but not unfathomable. Clarke was smart, she was sharp and in control. she had medical knowledge and she seemed to have a better idea of what was awaiting them down here than anyone else. 

But she also lacked Bellamy’s charisma, or his devotion to the criminal kids. But Matthias was a smart kid too, and seemed to know as much as Clarke did about medical stuff, and she was interested to learn. “Hey, Matthias,” she greeted brightly. She’d seen him inspecting plants and knew from Earth Skills ( yes, she’d paid a little attention, so sue her ) that some were medically helpful and it was a perfect oppurtunity to offer to help him out. “Whatcha up to?”

       she’s twenty two now       ,   so many years have passed but if you stopped and asked her how long it had been  ,  she’d laugh and look you in the eye  :  it feels like we just got started  .  every day grants a new obstacle  .  some new challenge that they hadn’t yet prepared for  .  but it’s worth it and she’ll never regret setting out on their own  .  a rap of knuckles against raven’s door and then she pushes in  ,  doesn’t wait for a response  .  “  i’ve got the new shift schedules if you want to take a look at ‘em  .  ”  she tosses a folder on her kitchen table and settles into a seat  .  “  i’d show them to bellamy but i said i’d throttle him if he bugged me again today so he’s hiding from me  .  ”

he   doesn't   need   to   ask   twice .   her   arms   shift   to   snake   tight   around   fjor’s   upper   body   in   an   instant ,   pulling   the   boy   as   close   as   she   could .   the   warmth   he   radiates      𝒐𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒚   𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒓 ,      a   homelike   sensation   normally   found   within   the   embrace   of   your      𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚍   𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜 .   nothing   seemed   to   make   sense   anymore ,   not   since   mange's   arrival   to   edda .   but   this ,      whatever   it   was ,      felt   too   right   to   let   go   of .          ❝          fjor .   did   something   happen   ?          ❞          voice   barely   raised   above   a   whisper   as   her   fingertips   smooth   circles   on   his   back ,   hopeful   to   ease   his   troubling .          ❝          you   can   tell   me   anything  . . .          ❞
