Questi autoritratti nascono dal mio incontro solitario con le eroine della tragedia greca. Le ho conosciute per la prima volta sui libri, e le ho sentite subito vicine non solo a me, ma a tutte le donne, di ogni epoca: ho deciso di trovarle nuovamente davanti all'obiettivo, preparando un posto per loro, vicino alla finestra di camera mia, per dare loro un volto.

Medea, Alcesti, Ecuba, Cassandra, sono innanzitutto madri, figlie, sorelle prima che assassine, schiave o maghe. La tragedia che voglio raccontare è quella umana, non eroica: la perdita di un figlio, la solitudine dell'adolescenza, il sacrificio d'amore. Sono donne prima che eroine e vivono una storia che ci riguarda tutti.

One of those girls who you turn round and look at in the street because you have a proper 'look' about you, your clothes and make up are always very striking and on point and you have a very defined personal aesthetic. Very much an artist in many senses, a writer, musician, all round intelligent and creative.

Oh, like, just. Nice. Really nice. Funny. Way too good for me. And they changed a lot of me, I think. I trusted them in a way that I didn’t think I could trust someone. They got a lot of stuff about me that I didn’t understand at all, stuff that I still don’t understand.

What counts as a ‘short haircut’? I do feel you though, I can’t look at the pics of Shirley with short blonde hair and it makes me sad Eddie Vedder has quite short hair atm, grow it back Eddie.

Basically Shirley's blonde length, though she looks hot no matter what. HAVE YOU SEEN JERRY. I've forgiven him but it's just not the same.
