grooming report feb 20th

SO this is a slightly edited quote from our guy Tyler McBride. 

Well S$%#…pretty warm out. Kinda Raining on me while I was out. If it freezes it’ll go, but I’m kinda doubtful 😢 wasn’t grooming as wide as normal, instead trying to beat in the tread more than the soft edges. With the schmooey snow I was able to braaap the rut out. 

Brapp = throttle the groomer so it churns the snow.

So with the warmer temp today  Its probably best to hit the trails early tomorrow morning for the best experience out there. Also so it doesn't have frozen ruts and holes.

What was done  3x Eddie  2x elephant 2x KC full 1x drifter

Grooming Report Feb 9th

Yeah It froze over night!! and it looks like colder temps for a few days.  I hope everyone was on the trails yesterday! I seen a few familiar faces having fun in the cold snow and warm sun! 

Tyler Mc bride got out for a little tidy up lap on the groomer . The trails he hit were 2x Blue elephant  2x Techno Grind 2x Monty Christo road 2x saddle to kc lookout 1x drifter

I would like to make note there was some regular bike tires out on the trails and they were making some ruts, I know its working for your ride, but if there is a bunch non fat tires ( 3.0 and smaller) make ruts that are hard to carve out with this low snow pack year.so please be mindful of that. But if you must it would work on Kc/ Moe's  they are bullet proof-ish so would be ok on that.   

Also for your reg tire size bike riding pleasure  the Bluff trail and Castlegar's Dirty dreams climb and trail is clear of snow.

Grooming Report Feb 7th

Hey we went grooming! Hope it freezes! If it does it going to rip!

I did a lap on everything.  It was packing ok..

Thanks to Brad Johanson for his shovel work and other who snow shoed spots to pack it down.

Use caution there are some creeks opening up on techo, drifter, eddy j and kc. They could bbe abrupt if you are not paying attention.. Puddles are fun to splash in !

What was groomed..

2x Blue elephant to ski hill

1x Larry's 

1x Moes most of it

2x Drifter

1.5 Kc 

1x Techo grind     

1× Eddy j 

1x Monty Christo road

Pow Dump!!   the snow was light a fluffy  but the boys got after it!! 

Scott Forsyth tackled  Drifter x2 Blue Elephant x2 Monty Christo Road X2 Techno grind x2

Patrick Kinghorn did a few laps on  Eddy J

So the snow is going to be soft, cold and not packing super well.

fat bikes air down for the most traction and float not to damage the trail.

The Running folks eddy and techno will be soft not great for for that. But snow shoes yes!!

grooming report jan 10th 10pm

Well I am back on the machine and my wrist is getting better. So might as well do a grooming pass on everything. Well close to it all

grooming report jan 6th

Yeah its finally snowing !!  that means actual groomed trails 

We had eager volunteer groomer drivers wanting to get out on the machine to make tracks!!

Dec 15th grooming Report

Hello everyone it's the 1st official grooming Report of the season .  Tyler Mcbride tippy toed the snow dog in the shallow snow pack this evening. Words from the big dawg Ty. "Tread carefully out there, sharks (rocks) everywhere out to get ya. Some are exposed, and lots are still hidden just on the edge of the trail" What was groomed.
