God the people in the towns must be so confused. Like now there's like a million different versions of the same two guys running around. Do any of the different versions of Dan and Arin have to deal with consequences from something a different them did? -au anon

oh my god, probably yes! Especially the link/navi pairs because they’re the most similar. (”I dunno, I just saw some asshole in a tunic and leggings tormenting my chickens. It must have been that guy.”) And the Train Crasher/Steam Quest guys get confused for each other all the time, too. Because both Dannys call themselves knights, but that’s usually just nice old ladies going “oh you’re the young boy who wanted to be a knight, eh? So kind.” So like, free grandma cookies or whatever dude.

That Castle Crashers thing was cute. I think, when Danny finally gets his faceless princess, he's not even made he is a man. He finds Arin so damn pretty, and when he's out of the dress, they go on adventures together.

I swear, I was not expecting that last sentence to end with “they go on adventures together” my mind is so in the gutter.

But totally. Danny still thinks Arin fills out his dress well and that his hair is adorable and he makes a really cute princess. Plus I mean, Arin is definitely everything Danny’s ever wanted in a partner personality-wise, so why not? He’s down for it.

And anything not to have to adventure with Ross again.Though, I imagine Arin wouldn’t be wearing his royal princess garb, he’d don a knight uniform worthy of his elegant taste.

UM YES AND YES.

You know that third princess in the game that always has her face covered and you don’t know what she looks like until the very end? That’s Arin.

And for some reason, Danny knows that ‘she’s the one. That’s the princess for him. I mean, just look at the way that ‘she’ fills out that dress. And the cute chin-length hair with a little streak for flair. Adorable. Danny is so into it.

Of course, Ross is also vying for all of the princesses (if only to spite Danny) so they’re both fighting super hard over this faceless beauty...

omg yes. I’m sure Ross is even jealous of his inconvenient ice-sneezes. But Danny is sickly and a little delirious so every time he sneezes he practically slips on the little ice patch he just launched into the ground. And Ross finds this extremely hilarious.

I feel like there'd be a moment where all the "questers" would meet. Like Shovel Grumps and Steam Quest and LoZ and they'd all size each other up and start bragging and stuff. SC

dude, glorious. The Shovel Grumps are the most stoic of all of them because they’re on a quest to save their missing link. They’ve literally been torn up about it for so long they’re just numb to everything.

Then, I mean, the legend of grump guys are already in the midst of trying to solve everything that link!Arin broke so Arin’s confidence is a bit shattered right now. link!Danny is doing alright, though.

Steam Quest Danny is trying his hardest to act official and strong and look cool in front of these other ~adventurers~ so he’s trying the hardest.

And I figure the Castle Crashers are around too. Ross is constantly trying to outdo his Danny so he’s the first to introduce himself because he’s the most important. And Danny is just like “hey what’s up, I’m rescuing princesses which is pretty cool. But do you know of any princesses that Ross here can’t get because he keeps stealing them all.”

Train Crashers - Basic Plot

(Based on Castle Crashers)

Two young knights are forced to work together on a quest to save three different princesses. It shouldn’t be a hard task, it really shouldn’t. But, I mean, it’s Ross and Danny we’re talking about.

Ross is a trusty gray knight, never viewed as much more than a menial henchman to the crown. There are millions like him. Of course he’s not special, why would he be? All he’s got is a hammer, how lame is that? It also doesn’t help that his partner has ice powers and doesn’t even seem to appreciate them. Ice powers, the power that Ross would have killed for when he was little and wanted to grow up to have mastered by now. But no, this guy has them. So Ross, channeling his inner bitterness, takes it upon himself to ensure that he gets all the credit for every single princess they save. Danny can fight the dungeon bosses and stop enemies with his ice, but Ross is going to be the one getting all the princesses.

Danny’s fresh out of knight-training school and already assigned to a big mission, which is pretty cool. He’s kind of new to the whole “having ice powers” thing, though his partner, a loud and chatty gray knight, definitely seems to know a lot about it. Danny wants to be a team player, he really does, but Ross is making it really difficult on him. They fight well in battle, but once it comes to the princesses--you know, the thing Danny’s been dreaming about since he was little--Ross refuses to let up. Danny’s not an angry person, but Ross knows just how to push his buttons and the anger slowly eats away at him as Ross claims the first two princesses they encounter for himself, even after Danny suggested a compromise. But now, with that third princess on the line, the one whose face neither have seen and Danny fell in love with the moment he saw her getting dragged away on her face, well, he’s going to give Ross a good fight for her.
