*bangs pots and pans* An OC (not completely) unrelated to my blog! I just want to post her somewhere :( Midori is very fun to write since she mostly just wants to battle and fist fight pokemon/people.
Pokemon Trainer Midori Hayashi
Age: 25 Home Region: Hoenn
If shes not battling, or adventuring, or finding the next thrill, shes not alive. Hates sitting around and waiting for something to happen, she goes where the thrill goes. Very quick to react, and impulsive to boot. If Midori didnt like something or someone, she would swing first and ask questions later. She once joined a villain team in search for strong opponents to fight, but left because Team Magma restricted her Pokemon choices.
“What do you mean Salamance isn’t a viable choice! He can deck MOST OF YOU!”
She depends wholly on ‘Wild Instinct’. and thus she has a fear of creepy environments. Not necessarily Ghost Pokemon, but the mood they set put her instincts on wild alert. Shes easily frightened in this state, but returns to normal if she ever needed to battle it out.
Midori only carries and has 6 Pokemon. She doesnt want to be bothered to use the storage system (especially between Regions) and finds it a hassle since shes usually out exploring. She may change her mind if she ever encountered a Pokemon that showed true passion in joining her though. A lot of her Pokemon are very aggressive, and only listen to her because she can point their rage in the proper direction. If they ever get out of line, which they sometimes do, she and the more calm side of her team battle it out. She's used Amber’s Pokemon before, and they listen to her thanks to their trainer’s close bonds. She also has used ground or fire type pokemon during her time with team Magma, but released them afterwards since they weren’t up to her standards.
Pokémon Team:
Salamence (Atk): They met at Meteor Falls. Midori likes his intense commitment to his dream of wanting to fly. She supported him, and took him with her to evolve into Salamance. An unbreakable bond between these two. Salamence, although can rampage frequently, hardly ever does under Midori’s care.
Known Moves: Dragon Pulse, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Hurricane
HM Moves: Fly
Tyranitar (Def) (Sinnoh) A battle junkie kind of Pokemon, right up Midori's alley. The Larvitar was quite spunky, something Midori liked, she offered him a chance to come with her, and seek out stronger opponents. After a battle that lasted over 6 hours, he agreed with a smirk.
Known Moves: Dark Pulse, Stone Edge, Hyper Beam, Earthquake
Kingdra (SpeAtk): Found as a Seadra while looking for a water Pokémon partner in Hoenn. Midori struggled with fishing since it required patience…Ended up making a bunch of different water pokemon angry at her and chose this one since it had the most bone to pick with her. Amber laughed as she waded into the water to fist fight the very Pokémon she made annoyed.
Known Moves: Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam, Brine
HMs: Dive, Waterfall, Surf
Breloom (Atk): Trained from a Shroomish who used to be a bit of a ‘wimp’ in Midori’s eyes. She picked him up once he seemed willing to get stronger. She’s a sucker for anyone with passion. Now, they spar whenever Midori feels like shes about to combust from the lack of action. (Shes tried sparing with the others, but they’re quite hard.)
Known Moves: Drain Punch, Mach Punch, Seed Bomb, Solar Beam
HM Moves: Strength, Rock Smash, Cut
Aggron (Def): Found as an Aron in Ironworks, eating the materials because he was cast out of his territory. Midori caught him and offered to find him a new home. Aron decided his new home was with her. Surprisingly loyal to Midori despite his species “aggressive” nature, is one of the few that quickly comes to her aid when the others ‘act out’.
Known Moves: Metal Burst, Heavy Slam, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense
HM: Rock Smash, Rock Climb
Froslass (Spe Atk): Midori fought a group of Snorunt and Froslass in a Blizzard while she was in Snowpoint city. They ended up tumbling off a cliff together, and Amber later found her and a Snorunt seemingly ‘arguing’ in a cave. Snorunt followed Midori afterwards, and evolved into a Froslass later.
Known Moves: Icy Wind, Shadow Ball, Aurora Veil, Frost Breath
