A great result from our 21st Birthday celebration. Thanks to everybody who attended. This is the largest crowd we have ever seen in 12 years running at the Botanic Gardens track - the crowd loved the day in the sun with no complaints at the long lines to get on the trains - thanks. We raised so much revenue today that we have just paid for half of our latest steam engine restoration project. Our unpainted 37 class steam loco came from Sydney just a fortnight ago, thanks to the Randall family, so we have a big job in front of us. When completed it will be quite like Peter Martin's steam loco (in the tunnel), visiting from the Western Sydney club. Great to see so many visiting drivers for our birthday.
