Her folder remained un-touched much like the food that was in front of her, her hands were stuffed in her pockets, making sure there wasn't room or anything or anyone else. Several soft sighs left her mouth and she didn't feel right, she felt put down but she was pretty sure it was her teachers job to point flaws and all. And it seemed like she was full of them, no it wasn't that she wasn't grateful but everyone expected him to go TRC and they got her. It was a little jarring to know that you might be liked, but to see it happen felt like something else.
"Can I sit here?" The voice was deep, a little too deep, she looked up to see if it was a kid playing tricks, but no it was someone really there, tall with long features, she waved her hand and told him to sit. He bowed his head and sat down, giving him her is hands. She have him a hand shake and looked away, there was a small breeze inside and Jaehyun started the convo with her again.
"It's good to see you here Kim Yubin."
"Thanks."
"How's it going?" She shrugged her shoulders.
"Not a lot of people like that you're here. You got rejected by all the companies." She raised a brow at him but didn't say anything.
"But I think you'll fit in well." She chuckled and started to eat, and they sat like that, in silence, just enjoying the food and the company it was simple and she hadn't simple in a while.
When she was finished, she stood up and he followed, the two walked together without saying anything.
Trainee Solo - Char - Meeting Sia - Word Count: 299
When she first walked into the TRC building it felt like a dream, as if she wasn't really suppose to be stepping foot on in this place, she knew it was the nerves. But she knew she belonged with the Tiger himself called her, her of all the people in the world that he could want. She almost couldn't breath but she manged to somehow. She skipped the morning breakfast at the breakfast at the company and she might have skipped, the gym work out, in favor of doing some free running at her park. She had wanted to release her nervous energy, she had still gotten there pretty early with with some time left before the vocal lesson's. No one had saw her yet and she couldn't find butter cup so she sat down on the wall, doing something like a hand stand. It was when she heard a giggle come from behind her she let her body fall over and looked up at the person.
"'Sup mate?" The girl smiled down at her and she blinked a few times before jumping up.
"Sia!" She smiled and hugged the coach. "I was hoping to see you. I'll be your caoch for your vocal classes." Yubin nodded her heard and Sia rapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Well I'm your rap coach." Yubin nodded her head, she didn't find it shocking, Sia had proved her chops at the camp.
"And I was hoping to see you mate." Sia laughed and gave her a high five.
"I'll see you soon mate." She smiled and walked on, turning on her heel.
"Nice tat's by the way. I'm going to miss seeing them." She waved once more and kept walking and Yubin was left with a little bit of a girl crush.
Trainee Solo - Char - Meeting Soyun - Word Count: 299
She signed the contract not to long ago, it was getting darker inside the building, a few people roamed around and she was a little lost to everything, some people hanging out and others looked at her with pity, the girl who didn't make it, why was she here, to plead her case. It was kinda funny, she was here to do something but not what they thought, still she shoulder it and kept moving, making sure she didn't keep her eyes off the front door, she was walking out someone else.
"Watch it." The words were rough and angry, it caused her to jump a bit. "Sorry," She muttered the words and gave the women a small smile but that didn't work. "Oh it's you." She looked and took a step back. "Soyul?" She said the name but the girl waved her off. "I'm Soyun, vocal coach here at TRC and Soyul is my sister." The women didn't offer her a handshake or a smile.
"I thought you were going to not make it, tattoo's and no vocal abilities at all." Yubin blinked her, her jaw slowly hitting the floor. Without a word the other walked off, going to some students who waited in the back. Yubin blinked a few more times and tried to speak but no words came out. Was she serious, did she really want to play this game? It was one thing to be rude if Yubin was disrespectful but this lady with mean without reason, all she did was be human and apparently it wasn't good enough for her new teacher.
Trainee Solo - Char - Meeting Eric - Word Count: 258
She still had about two days before she started training, she needed to get her affairs into order. But she would come often and just spend an hour or two, hanging out. It was one of the days, she sat outside the building and relaxing under a tree, there was a slight chill but she was happy, until someone sat down a little to close to her. "Yo." She said with a little bit of her mother's accent, she turned slightly and stared down at him, even though she was pretty sure he pushed 6'4. The man just chuckled and nudged her slightly.
"I think it was me who got you into TRC." The man whispered and she almost laughed.
"I'm serious, I went on and on about your talent and how kick ass you would be." She had to chuckle and offered his hands to her.
"My name is Eric and I'm the dance teacher here with Soyul, but I think you already met her."
She laughed and leaned back. Twins worked here, but she could tell them apart from the way they talked and walked, their eyes told different stories but for now she focused on Eric.
"I'm taking dance classes already." Eric just laughed. "Well, then you will be a star in no time." She laughed and waved to him as he got up.
"See you later coach!"
He gave a two finger salute and keep going doing funny dance moves as he walked along the streets.
Okay, the was starting, it was real this time. She paced nervously and wondered around outside, her heart beating a few times. She was sure she'd be able to to do this, Sia would be there. And Soyul and Eric. She had already found some people she could lean on, so she would make it. Her skin itched a little and she tugged on the coat, she currently wore. The process had started of her getting the tattoo removed, they started with her arm, the sleeve being more detailed then the dream catcher she had. Another deep breath and she walked in, again in time for the vocal lesson's but she wasn't sure who she would have. Maybe it would be Soyul but the bubbling in her stomach told her it was going to be Soyun and boy was she right.
The women at first gave her a dismissive glance but stopped again when someone pointed out that she wasn't about to leave the room. Yubin brushed the hair out of her face and tried to smile but she was met with a blank look, the need to ask what are you doing here was forgotten. It was pretty clear why but most people didn't know how.
"Kim Yubin." Soyun finally said and nodded her head stiffly, she pointed to a seat towards the back and turned back to the few students who managed to arrive early. Yubin sat down with her legs crossed, her arms dangled and she leaned back, no one talked to her yet but once it started they barely spoke to each other.
"Miss Kim Yubin?" She sat up a little more and nodded her head.
"You're next."
She swallowed and got up, slowly dragging her feet to the front of the room.
"Listen here." She nodded her head.
"You will sing this song." Yubin looked down and nodded once more, then the floor was hers.
The instrumental filled the room, and Yubin started to rock, the lyrics appearing on a small screen in front of her, English was no problem so she could focus on making sure her voice was right, she slid right into the first part, as if it was made for her voice, it was easy to gilde over the notes, then she closed her eyes and pushed on. With everything going, on she missed a few lessons with Jieun but she pushed on. How could she not? Slowly she tapped her fingers to the beat of the side of her pants, she pressed in with everyone. It was easy now.
Then she sung again, on one note she was pretty breathless but she made it happen. Without looking at the teacher she finished singing that half, and started the chorus. One it was finished, she was cut off, the music stopped.
Soyun looked at her, as if looking through her, a dismissive look on her face. Then she cleared her throat and went to another song. Yubin wanted to pout but she held back and waited to see what would happen next.
This time the song was more upbeat and she rocked along, doing the male speaking part. She wondered why Soyun chose this, it was mostly talk-rapping, she was great at that. Nodding, she smirked this would be easy.
Until it hit the chorus, she pushed out on the notes, trying to match the tone. It was higher then she would have liked but she shoulder it, you could hear the strain in her voice even if she tried to hide it, there wasn't any real power, because she wasn't comfortable. Then the music was cut off once more and Yubin was being handed a folder.
"Read over that." That was all she could get of Soyun until the women moved on. Yubin held the sheet in her hands, her eyes down, she wasn't sure if she could go through with this, but she would. She'd do anything for her dream.
