First day at gym
The first day is the worst. I currently live in Budapest and there is a lot of bodybuilders here. Me standing with weights among these half-ox half-men must have been a comical sight.
At one point towards the end of the session when I was doing bicep curls, I had to step down from 7 kg weights to 4 kg weights (I know, hilarious) and I felt ashamed. I felt like finding a spot in the corner so they don't see what puny weights I use. But then I thought: why? We all have to start somewhere. So I took these 4 kg weights and stood right in the middle of the gym for everyone to see. If I am going to be coming there a lot, it would be foolish to care what anyone else thinks.
