No one remembers Kayama Nemuri.

At least, not in a way that matters. Everyone has heard of Midnight, the R-rated hero, who knows all the right angles to keep eyes where she wants them, or perhaps even Midnight-sensei, who knows the way her students look at her with stars in their eyes.

But no one remembers Nemuri. She isn’t very strong, or powerful. Her anger simmers low so it may taste pleasing to most. She is just another person, just another hero, just another one in line pointed in a direction and told, fight until you die, and get back up after. No one remembers Nemuri when she’s seventeen, and her best friend dies. No one remembers Nemuri when she’s eighteen, and her hero license is laminated and seals away a speck of blood.
