It lives in your computer!⁠ ⁠ What lives? Well, @serieteket calls it #serifestivalen, @hybridenmalmö calls it #digitalseriemässa2020 . Call it comics festival, if you like!⁠ ⁠ It will live the most during this weekend. That's when Serieteket streams interviews and stuff. But the living is already going on through the component of the festival that is the comics market (also known as Small Press Expo) and so it will until the 15th of June.⁠ ⁠ As you can see here, I and my creations can be found at some different places during this period. Serieteket posted two youtube videos about the market, and the first one ends with me in the company of @anvandarnamnetarupptaget365 and @hammerbirchgrove at @sensusstudieforbund in Växjö. So now she is going through every closet to decide what to keep, what to give and what to trash. Among the finds made in this process are these homeproduced gifts from me and from my little brother. It seems to be two birthday gifts and one Father's day gift. It furthermore seems that I, already at the age of nine, drew a story about a tractor and a cat. Though the tractor in this comic shows no face, no voice and no name, I dare claim that this is Buster. But is the cat Sara? Well, all I can say about that, is that I have no actual ground for why it would not be. Anyway, the main protagonist of the story is neither the cat nor the tractor, but a louse. I have made more comics about this louse character, but I suspect that this was its first appearance. So what did my brother @gaphalsen2099 do? He also made some comics. Sequels to some of the ones we made for the earliest issues of Blandbok. Part II of Bubblan 30 and Part IV of Daddahockes äventyr. I believe comics with these numbers also appear in somewhat-less-early-than-the-aforementioned-earliest Blandbok issues. So I suppose we forgot that these had already been made. As you can see, this version of Bubblan 30 II does not only star Codename Fjoltomanen, but also such celebrities as Amalgam and doctor Simspad. The tv viewer and bicyclist you can see in Daddahockes äventyr IV (or Daddaockes ävtyr IV, as the title is actually spelled (giving it an unintentional distinction from its Blandbok parallel)) must be Daddahocke's friend Vickericke. He appeared in previous episodes as well, but I originally stole (or incoroporated, if you prefer) this character from @henrikbromander . Don't remember if Henrik's version looked like this, but the name is the same, and at least elements of his backstory. The last (or chronologically probably the first) of these books is Gosedjurens rekordbok 1990. A second edition of this book of records for textile animals was made the following year. I thought of showing you one of my sculptures, but decided instead to show you my drawing of one of Carl Milles's sculptures: The Orpheus Group at Hötorget in Stockholm. The picture shows five ninja animals arriving to the Nobel Prize awarding ceremony in the concert hall. It's part of a comic planned for Berättelser från Trakten # 4. But before you can read that, we must of course finish Berättelser från Trakten # 3. The plans for these comic books have been going on for a long time, and other things always tend to get in the way. I drew this some time in 2011. I had a somewhat different method for drawing then. There are no black areas, because I planned to fill them digitally. And the drawing is made with ink only. No sketching first. Nowadays I usually make a sketch with pencil crayon before applying any ink. (på/i Stockholms Konserthus)

As a private detective, it can of course help to have acquaintances among the public law-enforcement. In the case of Chips & Daniel, their contact within the mouse community police is Mus Pchef. As his first name happen to suggest, he is a mouse, and as his last name might suggest, he is a police chief. The strange thing about him is that he has occurred in comics that take place in a mouse world setting, as well as comics about human size fable animals (and even human size humans) and he has always matched the size of his co-stars. How this can be possible has never been explained. Yet. This drawing is not a theme combo, unlike some of my latest posts. It doesn't follow today's @enkreativgrej theme, but it does follow the theme for the day when I drew it. @libertycapone was in charge then, and gave us the theme "chefen".

137: Brødrene Dal.

Last Sunday was the seventeenth of May, and where I come from it is commonly known that this is a day of great festivity. Somewhere nearby. Our beloved neighbours in Norway celebrate their national day. The following month include our own national day here in Sweden. But who cares?

Anyway, my way of celebrating the brother people this year was to draw some fanart based on Norwegian culture. (Yes, there actually is such a thing.) I saved Ibsen, Prøysen and Egner for another year, and went for a figment of Kirkvaag / Lystad / Mjøen: The three adventurous brothers Gaus, Roms and Brumund Dal and their proud canoe the Elvegris.

Like #060, this picture is made to be part of another bigger picture. Actually, the crab I show you today is the exact same one that I showed you then. And so is the case with... some other stuff.
