Activity, comfort and homebody for mallek please?
I’m going to start putting these under a cut, just in case they’re longer than I realize!

Activity: Do they prefer to spend their free time active or resting? What are their favorite things to do alone? With friends? How high energy is their life in general?
Okay so. I know Mallek is very much the “stay at the computer and code for hours on end” type, but I do honestly believe he’s more of an active person than he lets on. Having a physical reminder that he’s getting shit done feels fucking great to him. Moving forward and achieving goals is kind of what he’s all about.
It really is depression’s world, though, and Mallek’s build his hive and planted his ass right in the center of it 😔 When he’s alone and with no outside force to push him forward, he can be a bit of a homebody. He likes to mod games here and there, tinker with some hardware when the software’s not doing it for him, and he has a minecraft server that he’s very active in. He practices tattoos (on himself; I have this headcanon that his right thigh is covered in practice strokes when he’s trying out new tattoo techniques), and when he’s really feeling stir crazy, he gives himself a new piercing.
With friends, he likes to.... show them stuff. Skasdasf I know that sounds odd but hear me out! Mallek passively gathers a lot of information as part of his leet hacker hobby; sometimes he reads about something really wild and wants to bring you along for the ride. Restaurant built on a hill, slanted on the inside with hundreds of one-star reviews? Date night babey. Arcade that’s rumored to have banned games? He’s on that shit and he’s taking you with him. It’s a little “showing off” and a little “strength and ingenuity in numbers.”
Comfort: What helps them calm down after negative emotions? How do they help calm down others? Where are their biggest source(s) of comfort in their life?
Generally he’s fine with just a general reset. One day without screen time, and maybe he’ll go for a walk. Touched on this above, but when things are really bad, he’s punching himself another hole in his body. Sometimes he buys shoes or cool novelty hoodies just to flex on MSPAR. The DRIP 😩👌 ..... from his eyes. In the form of tears. He looks his best when he’s at his worst.
He talks things through with his lusus a lot, when the problem is more emotional. Lususes, as a whole, don’t really communicate verbally. So really, it’s a lot of Mallek seeing what he wants to see through his lusus’s body language. As you can imagine, this is only effective about half of the time.
As you can probably guess, his biggest sources of comfort in his life are his friends. He likes to be distracted and get into trouble and just generally feel alive.
As for helping others out... he’s not always great at that. He tends to overthink. It’s very kdaskdj you know that meme of human shrek or whatever giving that dude a taco? That’s very much the Comforting Mood from Mallek lol. (I tried to add the image but tumblr kicks me out of the tags if I do that)
He can be a little “by-the-book” when it comes to comforting someone. Once he relaxes a bit, he’s great at distracting you, though. He can be exciting, and he does know how to have fun, assuming he’s not stuck inside his own head.
Homebody: What feels like home for them? Does their atmosphere change their mood? What little touches of their home do they include that indicates pieces of their personality?
He can not STAND when his spaces are too neat. He likes to have everything he needs out in the open where he can easily find it. He can get a little frantic digging through drawers and trying to remember his filing system; it’s easier for him to remember the fucking sedimentary layers that make up his living space.
He’s sensitive to smells, though, and generally keeps food mess in his kitchen.
He collects little bits of forgotten tech from around alternia. Big brass gears (what could they have been for?), bits of discarded plugs that don’t match any outlets he’s ever seen, an old CRT monitor and a nonfunctional arcade cabinet. Little knick-knacks like this make him feel at home. He’s one of the few friendsim trolls who feels cozy in MSPAR’s mismatched, patchwork hive. He gets the little bits of history, and he understands the clutter in a way few of the other friendsim trolls do.
