The Ninetales comes from nowhere, streaking past Fire; a Pidgey flies through the air above it' head, and the fox pokemon is clearly intent on catching the bird.
When the bird lands in the tree above it, clearly mocking, the Ninetales snarls, ignoring Fire in favor of trying to lunge up the tree trunk to the Pidgey sitting smugly among the branches.Finally it gives up with another snarl, sitting on its haunches at the bottom of the tree to think.
Fire is still ignored, though the Ninetales flicks its gaze to him warily every so often.
