Great that you’re looking to connect with a community of like minded people. 

Finding inclusive spaces is one thing, finding trans specific resources is indeed another: it’s not that easy to find them in general, and specific to the 1D community it may be even harder.

However, rest assured, you are far from the only trans person in this fandom! Over the years, non binary volunteers on here have collected quite a bit of information. aes: trans boy louis bein truly Happy™ and safe all by himself and hes proud of himsel w/o feeling bad for lovin himself. he just does it and loves it and wears body glitter and off the shoulder, sheer crop tops on top of his binder. he takes care of hmslf and treat hmslf to things like fancy tea drinks and pleather skirts with little spikes on the bottom and platform shoes. he doesnt let anyone tell him shit about his identity and is very proudly ace/aro too. as a transmasc mess ofc i do!!

louis who hates wearing tampons bc of the risk they bring and they also make him feel even more dysphoric than pads, so he spends a lot of the time shifting around n whining about the fact pads are a) so uncomfortable and b) so expensive for what they are

louis who gets such intense cramps he can barely walk when he doesn’t take a fuckton of ibuprofen,  can’t even have someone touch him on the arm without wanting to die

louis putting a warning on his door for no one to speak to him for the next few days

anyone who does not adhere to this rule learns their lesson

louis whose dysphoria is fairly mild, until the days leading up to and during his period, where his whole body just feels wrong, and he spends those days in the loosest clothing possible, can’t even wear a sports bra because his chest is so sensitive, will cry about anything at the drop of a hat

louis who has mastered the art of coughing in public bathrooms when putting on a pad, knows exactly when it’s going to be loudest and when it’s not going to be a problem

louis refusing to get dressed when he’s on his period, he’s not dealing with that, he will Not Do That

he spends a lot (like a good 70%) of his time while On His Period talking about how he doesn’t actually need a uterus and it’d be better for everyone if he just ripped it out right now

louis who doesn’t have any binders yet because -well. he’s nervous, is the problem, worried about the packaging and if people will realise, and okay so he’s a little nervous he might screw up his ribs even though he’s done extensive research, but it’s fine, most days. he doesn’t bind unsafely, he wears tight compressing sports bras, wears baggy clothes, he’s fine

he does, however, spend a lot of time buying binders for other people

a large portion of his earnings starts being deposited into transitioning funds for people who need it; it only takes a quick search on twitter, or tumblr, and he makes an anonymous donation or even buys a binder off someone’s wishlist

he has a fair few accounts no one knows about; mostly they’re for positivity, for helping, for being kind and being a safe space. sometimes there’s yelling about how gender’s a myth, but it’s where he feels calmest. it keeps him at ease

he doesn’t need to be thanked. he doesn’t want to be. he just.. he wants to help, is the thing. it’s the thing that makes him feel best, makes him feel safest, like helping affirms he’s real and his gender is real too

louis’s skilled at makeup, like, phenomenally skilled, constantly has swatches on his arms, and he knows how to help people feel less dysphoric through makeup. sharp, square jaws help to feel more masculine. rounder, softer features help for more femininity

he learns how to fill in his brows, how to angle his face in selfies, how to tuck his jaw just so, and the first time his chest looks completely flat and he looks entirely like a guy, he cries for half an hour

he sleeps curled up in his trans flag (all 5ft x 3ft glory of it), chin tucked over the edge, and it helps when nothing else does

transmasc louis:

louis using his binder as a crop top constantly when he has bad dysphoria days

on ok days he tends to walk around shirtless because he feels detached from his chest; everyone was shocked at first but after the second time nobody blinks. niall started a jar for how many times someone almost passed out because of it and the jar fills in two days. they donate the jar to trans charities

always had a pretty raspy voice even when he was little, and it’s only gotten deeper as he’s gotten older. he kind of likes how androgynous it can sound

sends gender memes in the gc hourly. harry is dead inside but he’s also printed them out before, so suck it

never knows what kind of hair he wants?? short?? long?? a huge mess?? (”it’s always a mess” - liam “[mug shattering] oops”- louis)

asks people their pronouns thirty seconds after meeting them. has got it Down To An Art at this point. harry started a time chart for how fast he could explain them once and louis almost passed out from speaking too fast

literally comes out because he can’t resist making a joke about what’s in his pants

(has answered that question with “woe” “determination” and “what’s a pant” respectively)

Harry doesn’t even look over. 

“I said,” Louis begins again, “I’m facing transphobic attacks right now.”

“That’s nice,” Harry responds, blinking, “have you tried unzipping it?”

Louis glances down. Her hands are pressed to the tops of her thighs, just under the hem of the soft blue cotton. She shaved her legs for this. Harry said it was unnecessary (”beauty standards are for fools”), but they feel nice when they’re all silky. Make her feel good.

“Maybe?” She knows for a fact she hasn’t, and she doesn’t acknowledge Harry’s smirk when the fabric finally tugs up her hips and settles comfortably over her waist.

She does a turn, and Harry’s eyes get teary, and it’s not even the first time she’s worn a fucking skirt. Harry’s weak. So weak. But at least he’s cute.

“Whatcha think?”

It’s all ruffled and high-waisted, and it matches her nails so well it makes her tummy go warm and soft. She likes feeling feminine. 

“It’s real pretty, soft one,” Harry says, and blinks away the tears in his eyes. Louis rolls her eyes, but can’t stop the grin that pulls at her mouth.

OKAY trans boy louis n genderfluid harry is,, so pure,, and it depends on which gender harry’s fluid between honestly but im gonna go with being a Cool Dude and being agender bc I Can Do What I Want

louis who constantly rejects gender norms and doesn’t give One Flyign Fuck about them because “painted nails don’t make me less of a boy my guy” 

harry who stays pretty masculine a lot of the time, but sometimes veers towards androgyny, and hates the assumption that all nonbinary people have to be androgynous Always to be valid and worthy of respect

louis who nudges his fingers against harrys when harry’s gender shifts and just asks “dyou need different pronouns” and harry’s not really expressed the Need before but louis always checks in, bc it’s polite and kind and that’s what harry deserves

louis who resents the idea that harry has to do anything Particular with his body and calls bullshit on twitter regularly “no he doesn’t Look more nonbinary today lmao he looks genderfluid every day bc he is genderfluid #whoasked”
